I want to make myself a deck with a politician theme around Azor's Elocutors. Some card I had in mind:

Minister of Impediments , Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer and Droning Bureaucrats - Random politicians and lobbyist who stall for me.

Leech Bonder - lawyers.

Elgaud Shieldmate - Bodyguards.

I need more political-themed card ideas, but the main goal is to use the Leech bonder with the Elocutors to move the filibuster counters onto my opponent's creatures. Why? Because I think it's funny. But then how will I win? I won't! See what I am trying to do here? :D

So yeah, feel free to give me your ideas.

I love politics and I've always wanted to do this.

Obviously Propaganda , Diplomatic Immunity  and Peace Talks . Those cards scream politics, and they are actually very powerful. Same goes with Bribery and Land Tax but those are less budget friendly.

Trade Routes and Reparations  are other options. There are also Aysen Bureaucrats but they aren't very good.  Political Trickery  and   Diplomatic Escort  could also be fun. Govern the Guildless certainly fits the theme. I guess Port Inspector  is political also.

Your go to counter would be Overrule .

Grand Arbiter Augustin IV  has a political feel and you could base the deck around him, but he's pricey.

There's more stuff I can think of, but those cards are not blue or white, such as  Mayor of Avabruck  and Conspiracy .

Hope this was helpful.

I don't bite, don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions or thoughts about deck ideas I post or anything Magic the Gathering related.

Jihad ?  or is that a different kind of politics?

Ertai's Meddling simulates government delays until the requested assistance is no longer needed.  Then it appears.

That is all I have.

Cheers!

Stasis is on-theme, but this is a silly fun deck and that probably ruins the point :P

Meddling is pretty good, I might grab some of them. I might like overrule more though, and I have those and don't want a ton of counters I think.
