It is great those on PC are receiving help, but I would love to hear from Wizards what they can do for players on other platforms who have lost their data.

4. Beat Nicol in normal campaign, purchased a deck key and unlocked a premuim foil. I then played 3 games of Two-Headed Giant and went to try the avatar award I got. When I started the game up again the progress was gone.

Some way of fixing this would be very good!

Why havent we heard anything on a fix for consoles? Is their even anyway you can fix this for us? If you can't fix it then please consider giving out deck keys, you have that mechanism why not use it to give us what we are entitled to.

5. I only care about all the cards i lost, i had fully unlocked Sepulchral graves, Auramancer deck, and Dream puppets and Crosswinds. I had fully unlocked every original deck aside from Chandra.
First of all it is pretty frustrating that this continues to happen as this occurred to me on the first Magic game for the 360 where I lost ALL progress after unlocking ALL cards however I will give my info.
Was really hoping to get my kid interested in this game to move on to the paper version however keeping a 10 year olds attention to replay the same thing twice with no assurance it won’t happen again is not promising.

I'm not sure if it's worht posting this after looking at the activity on this thread, but here goes...
This is particularly annoying as I'd recently completed passing everything in planeswalker difficulty to get the shiny gold outline, which included a couple of 1-2 hour games of planechase which I absolutely detest.
At this rate I doubt they're going to do anything about this anymore. DOTP 2014 will be out in 6 months anyway.
I'm at a loss as to what the point of this thread being created was at all.
I know. 13 pages of people losing their progress, and nothing is being done except for those on Steam. And even then the issue isn't being fixed.
I don't know how much worse they can treat their customers before people actually stop buying these games.
Eh, the more information about the problem the better. Even if they are kinda messing it up this time around, they have all this info at their fingertips so they are more likely to fix it for the next game.
Second time for me. Again on my alternate PC. Primary PC appears to be unaffected.
Coincided with download of deck pack 1.
As soon as I noticed that everything had been reset I turned Steam Cloud off for this game, then exited. I thought maybe it hadn't synched yet. Upon reentering the game a few more times, everything was still gone, regardless of cloud settings.
Uninstalled game. Tried to reinstall and was told by steam that there was no connection, an error I've never seen before. Checked the network, it was fine. Tried again a minute or so later it started installing. Just a few % into the install, Steam announced that it had downloaded a client patch dated October 23rd and asked to be restarted. Restarted.
Just thought I'd say what other events seemed to coincide with the missing data. Nothing I did brought the data back, although it was still there on my primary machine, and should be currently synched back into the cloud.

Played the campaign for about 14 hours, was working on the Revenge part. I remember one of my last games I was stalling for a while, finishing that game with my opponent at about -110 life and myself above 50 life, obviously with a ton of creatures.
Next day I wanted to play again and I had to start all over with the campaign. I do have a bunch of achievements and portraits unlocked, but the stats etc were all reset.

4 - Noticed about the beginning of Oct that all the campaigns were locked again, as well as challenges, and lost personas. I retained the achievements and unlocked cards. I've tried multiple times to restart unlocking the campaigns and the game has erased all the progress. It may have something to do with my wife using her account... although it has never happened before.
5 - I have deleted the game and reloaded and nothing has worked...
On a side note I have noticed (at least on my xbox) that DotP 13 is much slower to load/navigate than on the iPad version.

Replaying encounters with Blue mill deck, beat stampede encounter and went into deck editor. After leaving deck editor and going back into campaign, all progress was gone.
Not too annoyed at this, as it gives me a reason to replay the campaign and unlock more cards for the decks I like.
Still, kind of annoying.
Hope this issue is addressed soon.
As an update to my previous post, I logged into mtg duels of the planeswalkers 2013 to find that the game was again asking me if I had played magic before... after a moment I had realized I had lost all my saved data, I had 64 hours logged according to steam, and had purchased the expansion, and the deck pack.. I really hope something is done about this, I have not had this problem with steam before.

No DLC activated but I bought the expansion
I'd completed both the original campaigns and expansion ones, including Revenge. I was just replaying random campaign games to get more cards unlocked. It happened twice but the first time I was at home so I VPNed into my work PC and made sure I updated from there. Second time it happened, I wasn't so lucky.
Everything was lost except the records of my achievements of which I have 18/25.
I would really appreciate a code to unlock all the decks so I can start working on getting all the cards agan. None of them were locked before and I was working my way through them. I had all cards for red, green, black, plus around 15 for exalted darkness, plus at least one card from all other decks which can be proved by looking at my achievements. The expansion decks hadn't been played much yet, but I was still able to play with them rather than be forced to pay to unlock them.
I love this game and have played it for 72 hours. I had just bought it as a gift for my brother so we could play multiplayer. Without access to all my decks I'm at a loss!

4. i left the game sunday (i'm in france) in the end of afternoon. then, today (monday), after work, evening, i launch the game, and every thing was lost.
5.It ask me my level of knowledge as if it was the first time i launch it. I lost promo cards, all decks i unlocks, and all cards i unlock, i've the basic game. Still 24/25 achievment and 222 hours of play, whereas saturday i've finished to unlock all the cards...

4) Played a campaign battle, exited out after I beat a match. Exited from the main menu as cards were unlocking. Main menu comes up with the "DLC has been changed" notice (which comes up A LOT). Set the controller down and came back a minute later to start another campaign match and everything was reset.
5) All of my campaign progress and personas. Achievements and Deck progress remained.
I got steam to give me my money back seeing as how wizards will not fix/address this problem.
DotP 2013, Expansion (5 two color deck)
Had the steam could sync box come up... the last time I played 2-3games it wasn't sync'd... when I hit download form the cloud previously I never lost anything. When I clicked it and got into game EVERYTHING was reset. I couldn't play 7/10 decks, campaign was reset, all unlocks lost. I had all cards unlocked on all decks and beats all the challenges/campaign/etc.

I just recently went back into the game after not playing since ~ late september, game redownloaded itself when I started it.
Lost all my campaign progress and deck unlocks, had 3-4 decks fully unlocked and about 25%-50% of the rest in progress. Achievement and stats seem to remain.

Completely randomly, I lost 1 card from the Gruul Deck. It was the last one I had unlocked the day before, along with 12 other cards from gruul. I exited the game as usual, allowed the steam cloud sync to go through.
Day after(yesterday), I have 29/30 cards unlocked from Gruul. Nothing else was lost as far as I can see. No messages about cloud sync or otherwise.
It doesn't bother me really, since it was just 1 match. I just find it peculiar.

A solution would be to give all affected players enough deck keys to unlock all decks.

My 2 sons and I play this on the XBox.
My campaign progress just disappeared tonight, weeks after I bought, downloaded and played the first DLC pack and the free multiplayer pack 1.
It still has the cards/decks unlocked, and achievements and score.
I will not be playing this until this is fixed - my time is MUCH too precious to risk losing my deck unlock progress.
WotC - you are LOSING CUSTOMERS because of this problem.
on xbox other games have had similar issues i've heard you can resolve by creating a cloud save before loss and then loading it after loss. is this true with dotp?
this thread was posted about 3 months ago and this still seems to be a ongoing problem. is there any recourse for people who lost decks that they spent money/ms points unlocking? Xbox support stance seems to be basically sorry about your luck it's a data corruption issue and all sales are nonrefundable and advise taking it up with the publisher but there's been no response about a fix which is a shame i love this game but i can't/won't play it for the fear that more of my time and money will be flushed down the drain. we need a fix or at least a statement addressing this issue and where to go from here.

I still show the expansion and deck pack DLC, but all progress has been lost. I had unlocked all cards for all decks and completed both standard and revenge campaigns. I still show my achievements, but all card unlocks have been lost. I contacted support, tried the fixes they suggested, to no avail. Hoping a server reboot will do the trick. I don't envy grinding all those deck unlocks again...
Sean, is it possible for you to grant deck key unlocks once my loss has been verified? At least I could start from there...I only play 2HG and I need my decks...
On Steam (PC.) I have Steam Cloud disabled and only use it on my 1 laptop. I had all the decks up through Deck Pack 2 fully unlocked
I had just downloaded deck pack 3. I played a few games online using Pack Instinct, then played about 5 games with Mana Mastery. I had to run, so I shut it down. About 30 minutes later, I booted it back up again, only to find I had lost my progress with Mana Mastery. No huge deal. The odder thing was that suddenly I was down to 0/30 with Sky and Scale. Not too sure why that happened, but that was a fun deck that was a horror to unlock. I'll just get back to work and grind it back, but just found it odd that I lost just that 1 deck (plus the few cards already unlocked for MM)
My progress isn't saving for some reason. I've not lost any progress on my save pre-deck pack 3, but any progress I make on the new decks is lost when I close it.
Magic 2013 - Two Accounts
Have downloaded all prior DLC before (full).
All saved data erased from both accounts after downloading newest DLC. - Deck Pack 3 (FREE)
Downloaded the DLC from the xbox market place, ran the game, presented with the "free key for playing Magic 2012" graphic, then noticed all save data was gone from both accounts.
Ranks and achievments dont matter its the decks.
powblok - all decks except for the final one that is unlocked in campaign. Celestial Light full unlock, as well as some other decks semi unlocked.
roctrongo - all decks unlocked and discard blue deck full unlock.
I purchased ALL DLC including the latest Deck Pack 3, not to mention around 3-4 keys!!
I was playing earlier today and it was fine, I turned my console off for a few hours and came back, and all my cards were gone!! Right as I was logging in it disconnected me from Live, then I got the intro messages such as "How much magic have you played before."
I have redownloaded everything, including my profile, all to no avail, my save data is gone. Where is is stored, the cloud??? How coudl this happen?? IF the save data is stored in the cloud, can it be fixed/repaired/restored by wizards/stainless/xboxlive?
What was lost: I unlocked all 30/40 cards for almost every deck except one or two. I purchased anywhere from 3-4 deck keys.
It is very crummy and cynical that Duels of the Planeswalker purposely makes it so slow and gringing to unlock all the cards, but sells deck keys for a price, and then has a "glitch" that makes you lose all your progress! If there was an 800 number I would be calling to complain and want my money back.

If its any additional help, we've also used deck keys to just fully unlock decks.

When I switched from iPad2 to iPad4 the game restored from iCloud no problem
Upon running it it ran as if never unlocked (could only play 1st 2 decks and no mulligan)
Long chat with Apple and they agreed if I purchased unlock again ($9.99) thry would reimburse me
Upon attempting to make the in-app purchase, game said I already had purchased this and it auto updated

I play on xbox and only have one account. I was doing revenge campaign against Krenko and decided to switch decks, everything reset except cards. I have the expansion and the mana mastery deck pack.

xbox 360 play on two different xboxs yes on dlc I lost every deck and card I unlocked. Months of working to unlock decks and cards gone. Can you fix?
Lost all my decks this week. First time it happened for real after +400 hours.
Other times were just out of sync between my 2 computers.
Other error I noticed it's that some statistics are wrong. For example my best score in life is 20, even I have already beaten a game with more than 1000 life. But the value doesn't change.
My old PS3 died (RIP) and so went out and bought a replacement.
When I logged in, I saw that all game progress had been lost, and all decks that I had unlocked were now locked again. Had to spend more money on buying deck unlocks. Also noticed that all info (except for Trophies) recorded under the ‘Status’ tab had reset (eg player stats such as most damage, persona unlocked etc).
Even the online leaderboard rankings have reset: person from the Sony helpdesk thought the only explanation for this is that some of the leaderboard info must be kept on the hard drive, so buying a new console would have the effect of resetting all leaderboard info. He said that if that is the case, it would be an absolutely ‘crazy’ thing for the developers to have done.
You cannot play on 2 different PS3's using the same account without reseting everything every time you switch machines. That includes, of course, getting a new to you system. We have 2 in our house and I found out that fact the hard way luckily a week or two after the game came out.

I know it's 178 posts but if you scan this thread you will find ways to keep this from happening again (cloud saves), and if it does, how to have your information backed up so you may retrieve your decks and other information.

- Deck preference stats, unlocked cards, and campaign progress were lost. Achievements, selected avatar, and settings seem to have survived.
First I unlocked everything, and it was all lost. Then I unlocked all of one deck, and it was lost. Then I unlocked just a few cards, and saw this morning that even those were lost. Maybe it's happening more regularly?
Sometimes I see the dialog to choose between local or cloud storage before this, but not every time. And I only have the one machine, so I wouldn't think that choice would matter. For me, once it's gone, it's gone.
I'll give the workaround a try, but now the wipes are hitting me every time I log in... I'm not sure the profile will ever get read.
So are we to expect any kind of official reply when we post here, or is this just for collecting information. I have been dealing with this issue for *months* now and have yet to get any satisfactory response from either WotC or Steam.
Xbox 360, haven't played in a couple of weeks and I loaded up this morning to play with friends. For the 2nd time I get on and my campaign data was gone but no big deal there...unlike the last time all of my decks and unlocks are gone this time. This is very frutrating and needs taken care of

Let's set aside the whole "run this untrusted code it's safe and won't get you banned I promise" issue.
This isn't even the problem I want fixed. I want the game to remember my progress, I want to play the game and earn the cards. I don't just want to skip to pudding. (To be fair, maybe it does all I want and more, I didn't even download it, mostly due to the issue I just skipped.)
Most importantly, I want the devs to fix the game. WotC has great IP, it deserves to be showcased in a product I'm not ashamed to push on my friends. But this... I mean, this is basic: don't delete all my progress through the game every time I play? Why isn't that a showstopper? Why is an issue like this hanging around for over seven months?

5. No actions were taking, such a updates or preference changes. I was only playing Call of Duty : Black Ops 2 before hand.
6. ALL progress a has been lost for campaign mode. It's as though I just bought the game. Cinematics and story play before each menu like I'm viewing it for the first time. My trophies and rank are in tact but all decks and DLC are lost. Also, the progress of which color I am was lost. How many times I've won with certain decks.
It took a matter of minutes to re-download everything from the Playstation store but now I must spend hours upon hours unlocking all my decks again. Very upseeting.
This has actually just been discovered for me on the FIRST Magic game for Xbox 360.
I had recently added Magic 2013, downloaded some content... and recently looking at my first Magic game for the first time in quite a long time, I am shocked to learn that, while all my Achievements show the progress I made (I had finished everything), I suddenly have NO unlocked decks and NONE of my earned cards any longer.

5 Just completed the last Planeschase encounter at night, turned system off from inside game, didn't go back to Xbox dashboard. Next morning, went right to game.
6 Only lost all campaign progress. Still have all achievements. Some cards are still unlocked, can't remember if any are missing.
I'm really bothered with the amount of bugs that persist to be in the game and probably will not buy a Magic: The Gathering video game again.

This isnt the first bug i have come across, there's also the other one where the ingame downloads dont work and you have to reset all your data and redownload outside of the game.
I recently fired up Magic 2013 again a couple days ago, and myself and my roommate are experiencing the same issue.

I'd like to just say, this issue has been a known issue for nine months and I find it completely unacceptable that hasn't been addressed yet. I have paid for this game and I've paid for all the DLC, Wizards has introduced this issue through some form of coding error, and I feel they are obligated to fix it so I may use the game that I purchased from them, without issue.
