In the finals, where #1 plays #2, should we open the decks back up or wherever the participants stand, they stand? I think they should have a fresh deck set so each person chooses their best deck of the five each game...but we can vote on it...

Taking advantage that I will put my Warren Instigator since the Mindstorm will occupy 3 of mana to kill my goblins at the time the surest thing it is that i will have the opportunity to attack with Warren Instigator and to put two more. Then it uses Arc Lightning and gives him a great advantage killing three of my goblins, but I believe that he will necessary to kill my Goblin Piledriver because has blue protection. You will see for what.

I comment that Rage Reflection always I have debated myself if to leave or not in the deck since right now for example that alone I have just my Goblin Piledriver does not help me. Then just draw and draw lands and comment that I am having bad luck and giving almost the duel lost.
I place the Rage Reflection to leave it in 6 lives and comment that it would be perfect if i draw the Goblin Chieftain . He uses Insurrection only to steal one criature and I comment that it was a waste, but I suppose that he wants drain rapidly my lifes.

Game1 SS(0) vs CL(1) I made a lot of bad moves with this game, I cast my vulture zombie and I have a troll with rancor in play, he had four lands and not dropping any creatures meaning he was setting up for a day of judgement. next turn he cast it and all my creatures were gone. After that he cast a baneslayer angel forcing me to cast damnation. I cast two lord of extinction which he put two recumbent bliss and from there I wasn't able to recover until he cast a Serra avatar with a basilisk artifiact, which I can't find an answer.
Game 2 ED(1) vs AS(0) This game is all about my creature with whisper silk cloak attacking for the win
Game 3 MS(1) vs GM(0) Again I was forced to use MS but this time I got the deck all unlocked so at least I had a fighting chance. I kept pouring direct damage to him until I can get my spellbound dragon and sphinx with time warp for the win.

When I made the tournament the top 2 players were to play for the championship.....with only 8 players a 50% playoff field seems kind of generous....but we can change it if everyone wants....I'm flexible and I am enjoying this tournament so I am cool with whatever...

Actually since I've been trying to get a hold of you as well I really doubt that there Mobius. The denied messages you get is when you send them after 10:30 my time and my wife has the iPad so get yourself straight. I think to make it more interesting a cut to top 4 with the top 2 having twice to beat matches against their opponent can be exciting. Example: 1vs4 with 4 having to beat 1 in two matches to get to the finals while 1 only needs to win one match.
deck counts can reset back to zero at the start of the playoffs since a max of 9 games will be played if it stretches to 3 matches.
finals deck counts won't reset so you have to really make all your deck choices count in the playoffs, to make it more challenging.
what do you guys think?

He lost connection in game 2, but had an 10/10 hexproof on the board and I had jack crap so I just conceded that game.
Game 1 he had one creature with every dang enchantment on it, so I could do nothing even with a Serra Avatar at 48/48.. UGH Conceded game 1 also.

Game two was not over dude, I would like to replay it. Game two I did the "screenshot" error where I didn't press both buttons fast enough and exited out of the program. Sometimes when I do that it kicks me from the game.
But you had a deathtouh creature on board so my Dungroe Elder with blanchwood armor was stalled. Likewise, you flashed a wrecking ball the turn before so my Master of the wild hunt was dead...I actually thought I had enough mana to cast the MofWH and use the Ulvenwald tracker to kill your 1/1 deathtouh in the same turn...I miscounted and your wrecking ball kills the wolf next turn....but if I draw a creature next turn I can ulvenwald your deathtouch and swing....but the game was far from over...

Instead you put fists of the iron wood on it. Other than that I thought you played round 3 well. You missed one swing other than that.
Game 1 you had to use CL and I purposefully chose AS for a good game. Your lifegain, aggro ability, 3 solemn offerings and well of lost dreams and 2x day make for a good game...
You missed a couple of swings but I had Pariah + Indestructibility and a few other things on a Hexproof geist.
The only way for you to kill me is to detroy the pariah/indestructibility combo with a Solemn offering. That or playing a felidar sovereign post 40 life...
We were both just growing in life...you had a like a 9/7 enchanted ascendant and a 50/50 serra avatar.... and I had my indestructible lifelinker with pariah.......
You needed to hold out a little longer as statistically, I think you have more win conditions than me.
Once you cast day of judgment though you gave me the game. That won't kill a creature with indestructibility on it.
If you ever run into that again you need to use a solemn offering on the pariah/indestructibility enchantments and you can win.

If they were good games, then most of the time I would take the time to write up some flowery report describing the match, as maybe you've seen before. But they weren't particularly good or interesting games. This isn't little league, coach. You're the one who needs to lighten up and relax. It's not like I attacked him after the match or anything. Game 1: Sepulchral Strength (me) vs. Goblin Gangland Seeing as how he had access to Goblins, this seemed like the safest bet as far as deck choices go. This game actually went very long as there were numerous Greater Good shenanigans to dig me into the bottomless removal SS has. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've ever cast a Go for the Throat on a 1/1 Goblin token so I could hit a Chancellor of the Forge with a Consuming Vapors for the 5 life.
Game 2: Peacekeepers (me) vs. Grinning Malice On the draw, I felt a hand of 4 Plains , double Fiend Hunter and Oblivion Ring could hold down the fort against any of the 4 decks he had access too (especially since there aren't many ETB triggers that you can get punished for with a removed Fiend Hunter . This game also went a bit over the median time as I played pecking/defense with some Squadron Hawks and an Intrepid Hero was holding down the fort. I also had a bit of insurance with a Fiend Hunter on a Reanimate d Fiend Hunter , just in case any ground monsters showed up. Eventually, the O.G. Oblivion Ring cleared a Kavirek, the Merciless out of the way to let Captain of the Watch and the gang in for lethal.

Since Mobius finds everything so unintresting I will write a longer recap since unless you're playing burn, any blue, or aggro, then removal followed by creature is the general strategy for every deck :
Game 1: Was lost in the deck manager as the Mindstorms build played by Mr. Chickenstrips featured a ton of Wee Dragonauts instead of heavy counter/burn which played right into OD's strategy as he was tapped out most of the match casting the Wees and a Mire's Toll took his Act of Treason.
Game 2: Even with a mulligan to 5 for me, Exhalted had nothing to do against the troll but be aggressive with the same strategy which is correct. A Prenicious Deed destroyed his 2 Black Knights and 2 Rings of Xand which left him with just 1 knight after regening and exposing ED biggest weakness which is defense if it gets behind. Mobius still had a very good hand as he played two consecutive deathbringer leiges which killed my Yavemia's Elder and left him with 2 5/6 creatures for blocking and me in a bad state with less cards and only the troll for weaker board position. Mobius fails to acknowledge he then makes a mistake as I attack with my Troll (5/3 trample) and he decides to block it with just 1 Leige. While I did not have removal to push the entire 5 dmg through by killing the Leige in response...I did have a Consume Stregth which allowed me to perfectly get 3 points in of trample damage. I do personally find that intresting but that's just me.

Yeah, I played such a terrible build of Minstorms because that deck is so favored against Obedient Dead. I played a Wee Dragonaut . Innocent Blood . I played a Dominus of Fealty . Murder . I crap out a Gelectrode and another Dragonaut , because hell, why not? Fume Spitter + Massacre Wurm . I kill your Wurm with a Steamcore Weird and an Arc Lightning . You play a Griselbrand . Yeah dude, you absolutely crushed my inferior build. I'm sure your magic heavy counter/burn build would have just done so much better, because obviously, I don't run any counter or burn in that deck.
You're right, I could have double-blocked with the Lieges, obviously going to lose one, because why would you swing otherwise, and then top-decking into what exactly? Another dead removal spell (I had an Unmake just chilling in my hand, which works great against Hexproof, obvs)? I guess I could have ripped in to a Divinity of Pride and prayed to Ganesh that you have no more removal, so yeah, you're right on that account. Not very likely though. Aggro-ED's biggest problem is defense, yeah, not my build though. My build's biggest problem is Hexproof. Also, you mulliganed to six.

Oh I'm sure hexproof is the only weakness against your great build and your ED has amazing immunity from Sweepers which is what really beat you and not the hexproof. Great analysis brah

Actually you have NO IDEA what I normally play Mobius, which makes your comment hillarious, especially since I barely play those decks LMAO. You also apparently have no idea how good I am to say that I suck only having played me once on the iPad. (I wonder if you're the same gamertag that used to run double jace or liliana in 2012 on the 360, who I regularly beat with my partner in 2hg)
You're a good player who is in a very good position to win this tournament (along with Miguel and Lawsy) and I even said in my recap you played a good hand with ED. You also have a very good understanding of the game and I have never criticized your abillity to do so. Squinter defeats Shin 2-0
Game 1 - AW vs SS - Rancoring early aggro creatures combined with Malestrom Pulse for Eratic Portal and then plenty of removal dictated a game he controlled from the beginning.
Game 2 - GG vs MS - No Arc Lightnings or Electrolizes meant as long as he had a very aggressive hand he would have game in hand. And a Goblin Guide to Krenko tokens to Chieftain to Grenade made sure of it.

Game 1 - SS vs AW SS was the only deck I could think of to counter his AW: removal + heavy hitters. Luckily for me, I drew pretty much every removal in the deck. I got a few free hits in with Scute Mob + Rancor with the only creature out for him being Taunting Elf until turn 5. Turn 4 saw an Erratic Portal and turn 5 a Thragtusk , so I knew I had to get rid of the Portal with a Maelstrom Pulse . At this point I was chunking him quite a bit with a Viridian Emissary and Yavimaya Elder with a Diabolic Edict thrown in there too. He was able to stall a turn with Beast Within on his own land till he got out a Pelakka Wurm which I removed with Go for the Throat .
Game 2 - GG vs MS Knew MS was coming to counter the Goblins but I got a fantastic opening hand that really put the aggresion on before he could start burning them. Goblin Guide into Krenko's Command into Goblin Chieftain was stopped before it could finish him by a Gelectrode into Volcanic Geyser . But with him down to 7 life and a Goblin Grenade in hand, all I had to do was swing with my guide and remaining goblin to win. I still had Ember Hauler , Seige-Gang Commander and Voracious Dragon just in case the direct damage wasn't enough :P Pretty much nothing you can do against that....

I got robbed game two and the screencaps will show it....timer never went off....I think it was my fault because I took a snapshot at the same time.....had 2x sigil blessing in my hand....both your drakes should have died and all my creatures live and do 4 extra damage that turn...... Oh well...

I am running ancient Wilds and he is using Grinning Malice...can the bounce/lifegain begin before the GM aggro pain begins? I have a pretty decent hand...
Turn 2-3 I drop the Elvish Visionary followed by the Archer...I want the card draw and chump blocker of the elf and the reach and deathtouch of the archer in case demigods start popping up.

He missed his fifth land drop and the game is pretty much over as I cast a slime out there and destroy his red land...
I have a portal out so I just recast the Slime each turn saccing a land and needling for 3 damage..

So I am running CM and he is playing CW. I like my chances a lot...I don't Talrand is quick enough to deal with my rush....I don't draw any of my 2x overrun or beastmaster ascension to start but I have 2x Sigil Blessing...
Turn two I draw and drop a token generator.... JUST what I wanted...
Turn 3 I draw and drop another one and needle some damage..
Turn 4 I play a Midnight Haunting I believe and drop 2x 1/1 flying spirits and swing for four more. I wanted to play a BA but I was afraid of a counter because he has three mana open...
Turn 5 I play nothing and swing because I know he is going to block...the goal is to cast my sigil blessing and make my 2/2s 3/3s that kill his drakes and live. Also, my other creatures get in for an extra four damage.....
Shin takes the bait (well, he kind of has to block either way so its not really him falling for a combat trick) but I'm snapshotting and the timer doesn't allow me to pause it. So instead of a 4 to 0 creature board with 2x token generators with a sigil blessing and a beastmaster ascension in my hand...this is my board next...turn with a sigil blessing out (my mana situation is grim but the cirve is so low I can win)...I should still have 4 creatures here swinging at him with 8 health, not 12.....If the timer doesn't glitch last game the outlook is VERY VERY VERY grim for Shin here.
At any rate, he plays masterfully at this point, and does what crosswinds does best, mana leaks, disperse, etc....and he Briberies a hero of Bladehold which is what ultimately kills me. I messed up at this point. I should have tried to kill that card his first swing with my sigil blessing.....he even blatant thievaried my enchantment for good measure at the end......
But yeah, I think that darn timer issue kind of cost me this one. I think my CM deck is too fast and has too many early creatures and ways to pump them for CW to keep up...

I am using GM vs his AS....can I punch through before Aura Servants goes nuts...my first mistake might have been keeping a hand with 5 land but going first I was afraid to mulligan again and with 2x evolving wilds I can cycle a few land cards out of my deck early so I should draw creatures/spells right? That is what I was thinking anyways...
Turn 2 Onxy and turn 3 Vexing Devils (see my graveyard....he takes 4 damage obviously) but I am just drawing LAND LAND LAND
LAND LAND LAND....I get all 4x Evoling Wilds very early in this game....Its pretty bad...I'm still needling with my Onxy though..
Shin Mind controls my Onyx turn 5...and I play an Ogre. I know some people don't like the Ogre's here but I played two of them this game and each one got me 5 damage...Notice he is at ten life...
I cast the ogre and now he is at 5 life but the three dreams he casts is the end of my game...barring some topdeck magic to get a quick win here.. notice my hand...3 lands....9 of my first 16 cards were land...
I get a demigod and cast it and swing even though he can block me with his Griffin Guide enchanted deathtoucher (An EXCELLENT and game saving play on his part using this enchantment a turn before--I believe he was anticipating a demigod). ......Swinging was probably a mistake but I am still tilting from the last game....I should have tried to hold off for a terminate/then swing...
At any rate, drawing 9/16 lands I still manage to get him down to two life but all sorts of lifelink, indestructiblity and pariah cards are heading my way...if I didn't get land flooed I might have edged this one out by now since Shin's deck started REALLY REALLY show. I am not sure if he is running a slow deck (cut some of the stalkers/spiritdancers which I think is a mistake), if its too top heavy or if he just drew a slow hand....he also could have been playing possum and sitting on a winds of rath.....At any rate, his first spell was a mind control turn 5 I think on a 2/1 creature...
Now he has enchantments on a flier..It has vigilance, lifelink and it can't be killed.....I know the game is over at this point...

Nice recaps Killa, just some insight...on the CW match as you could see only 1 sigil could've been cast as u only had 3 mana. When I briberied for the hero I was counting on a sigil blessing to try to kill it as I had 2 disperse, a repulse, and a mana leak in my hand with 3 mana untapped. As you saw I saved the disperses in case u played Beastmaster (which u had in your hand) so even getting counters would not have won you this one sorry I knew I just had to survive that turn you swung and then I could outrace you even if you would've cast the sigil blessing I had too much control in my hand
On the AS game I just had a slow hand (I do run all 4 stalkers and spiritdancers, geist, nomad, avent, and grand arbiter but just didn't draw any of them (I kind of count mind control and griffin guides as creatures which help a little), I had already taken a mulligan from a 1 Land no creatures hand and didn't want to mulligan again as I knew I just needed 1 creature to do anything. Lucky for me even though I didn't draw any creatures...neither did you so I could get to turn 5. Once I cast Mind Control I suspected a demigod soon and I had 2 Griffin Guides since my opening hand. I actually run both Ogres in my deck and u just happened to hit my only 5 mana cards both times u cast it which I'm sure you liked

Shin, its the turn before that the sigli blessing cost me the game. Do you really think I would swing 2x 2/2 token generators into your 2/2 drakes? I needed to play the sigil blessing there. That was my goal but amidst the snapshot the timer wouldn't pause. So I lost my 2 creatures. If that timer glitch doesn't happen, I don't think you pull this one out... this turn right here...Notice my 3 open mana and the 2x sigil blessing in my hand: you realize it pumps ALL my creatures +1/+1 and gives the one you aren't blocking +3/+3 right?
My two token generators live and you lose 4 extra damage here and have an empty board (8 health). At that point I have a 4-0 creature lead on the board and next turn I am swinging and pumping again (making you USE a mana leak/disperse whatever). After that mistake you definitely played masterfully with the mana leaks, bribery, disperse etc. You did what CW does best...but if the timer doesn't err on me that game goes a different way...You can't play bribery and counter my win conditions on the same turn--you only had four mana at that point in the game (look at the screen cap)....you were between a rock and a hard place with a dwindling life and me one swing from winning... That one was pretty much over. Though you have to play pretty much two disperses next turn...if you do that you may have a small shot... but I am rescasting casting my creature(s) next turn and swinging with the sigil/BA if I elected not to use it the turn before......
Its a friendly tourny though and that will teach me a vital lesson about taking a screenshot before implementing the combat trick next time...

I do run things higher than demigods as evidenced by my discarding of Massacre Worm. On the CW match it's never that simple as the next play is dictated by the current board position; I simply don't tap out on the next turn for Bribery if u get that 1 sigil off. I know you definitely don't tap out next turn with that board presence for a birbery. With your cheap stall I guess you still had a fighting chance in hind sight...
What do you do if I play nothing and swing with all four creatures next turn (its probably what I would have done if you left the mana open which you would have...)? 1 or 2x disperse? If you disperse both creatures I have the dilemma of playing the sigil which brings you to 2 life with 2x 1/1 fliers on board...I probaly would have done that...

What happened next was interesting and not expected. Bituminous Blast was used on my Hunter, but instead of the Archon of Justice going back to Schwab, it came to me! With a Journey to Nowhere in hand, I knew there wasn't much that could done so I swung in a few times with a Glorious Anthem played and the 2 fliers to finish it.

game 1 GG(1) vs SS (0) usual goblin romp with first turn guide, 2nd turn command and 3rd turn chieftain against his third turn troll.
game 2 AS(1) vs OD(0) second turn stalker against his second turn shade, however a third turn armor on the stalker went all the way for three turns for the kill.
I got lucky both games with good start up cards which set me up for both wins. Good games reptyle...

I'm just getting in here to say how fast I got whooped. I think it was a total of 10 minutes for BOTH matches. Game one was over in like 2 minutes.. I had NOTHING, and he had all these pesky little damn goblins!!!!

Sounds like he got the "God Goblin Hand" (turn 1 rummaging, turn 2 whatever and turn 3 cheiftan)...its really hard for most decks to consistently deal with that...and turn 2 hexproof stalker turn 3 empyrial armor is the AS godhand too....its why I run 4x stalker and 4x spiritdancer...that is also difficult to deal with for a lot of decks...

Game 1: Exalted Darkness (me) vs. Mindstorms Terrible matchup looking back on it. I walk two Knights into an Electrolyze like a **** early on. Then, as the game drags on, my No Mercy turns his Act of Treason s and Conquering Manticore s into removal spells (though it did take care of a Steamcore Weird , and I'm never able to force my Debtors' Knell through the Mana Leak (s?) I'm 99% certain he has, and eventually die to burn after a super long, drawn out game where I'm pretty sure Killa drew 2/3s of his deck.
Game 3: Grinning Malice (me) vs. Aura Servants For some reason, the Magic gods decide to reward me for keeping a 3 Mountain hand when I have Hellhole Rats and Blazing Specter in hand. Thankfully, an early Invisible Stalker never sees any particularly scary enchantments (though it did have Lifelink , so I was sweating a huge damage swing at any time). Like a luck-sack, I hit the Swamp on turn 4 and swing with a Specter and Ashenmoor Gouger , bringing the damage and discard. On the following turn Pariah hits Blazing Specter , but thankfully he has no lands in hand when I cast Hellhole Rats pre-combat, forcing him to discard Sovereigns of Lost Alara , killing Specter and gaining me back my combat step/damage for the turn. Killa is still stuck on 4 lands when a Blightning rips away his last 2 cards, one of which was a Winds of Rath . I Demonic Tutor for a Chaos Warp juuuuuuuuuust in case but it's not needed as my 4/4 and 2/2 are able to overcome the rest of his topdecks.
Good games killa. I never felt comfortable about either of the games I won until the very end. There were any number of topdecks that could have wrecked me.

Game two I was debating my control blue because I knew it would get stomped on by CM and you chose that. The big winner was the artifact killing guy. ....(Quasi something) If you don't get him I was taking your token generator the turn before I desperately took the Liege. He renders my mind control useless and works at instant speed when he comes in. At any rate, without him the plan was to start tapping my Phantasm every turn to create a token just to stall a few turns......I still probably wouldn't have gotten too far considering your sigil bless and fist of ironwood unless I drew some more stuff but I could have at least made it a little more competitive than me getting steamrolled.....
Third game I thought my draw was decent... 3x land, Stalker, Lifelink, triclopean sight, winds of rath....etc...but your draw was EVEN BETTER. Not sure I even made a fifth land. That winds of rath was my last hope. The blightning was the final nail in the coffin...
Game one, yeah, that No Mercy worked against you more than it helped you I think....and yes, by games end I was sitting on all three mana leaks...I drew one early, well before you could use a debtors knell and I used at least 2x compulsive research, a prophetic bolt, 2x electrolyze and a tidings so I was drawing away... The knell would have hurt you as well since I was sitting on an insurrection too...I could have let it go and waited for a few creatures to hit the board then just swung for the win....

Shin has to play Schwab and Miguel has to play Mobius and Squinter still. Miguel, Mobius and Squinter are all in the best position to make the finals so those games are important... I think Shin might still have a shot too if something crazy happens...

You vs Squinter and you vs Mobius are the last two matches of the tournament and they are pretty important (see the Challonge Bracket!).

First duel I use GG and he used Auras. I Summond fast my goblins to hit fast.
The second duel he used Obedient Dead. I used mindstorm. A deck that seems really pathetic to me. I draw to few mana andante I make 3 times mulligan, but still no mana, in the last only two islands... I could not do much with that and the creature pirexsomething (4 black mana, 5/5)
The third duel he used mindstorm and I used CM, the only option that i had. I had the game won. I had a really beautiful hand:
But something happened that the connection was interrupted and to me the game display he left, but according to what he said to me, he got the same thing... So we play again. I was hoping to he use mindstorm again but he changed to red/dark. In this I had a somewhat bad hand, i was improved with the passage of the turns There was a part where I made a serious mistake that he put his rat and I do not I discarded my card of 4 of mana 4/4 that is put in the field if she was discarted... But at the end I knew my options and ended up victorious.

I had you game one. If it wasn't for my failure of maths when you swung in for the final 'kill', I would have blocked your Goblin Warchief instead of your Goblin Chieftan , then used Winds of Rath next turn and Lifelink on my already 4/6 Kor Spiritdancer with Griffin Guide and you wouldn't have been able to do anything from that. Also my failure of knowing the rules. I thought killing your Chieftan would remove his +1 bonus to other creatures before damage took effect on my life.

So you left (probably from trying to screenshot) and I chose GM for the remake. I made too many mistakes (Such as failing to use my Sootstoke Kindler on Grave Titan ) just from pure frustration at how long this match was dragging on for and I just wanted it finished.
