Another thing to keep in mind when testing slitherhead is that if you're going to kill something that has undying, you can scavenge onto their creature so undying won't trigger. Same thing with unleased and blocking. That being said, Pillar of Flame is a better and easier option.
Playing a playset of Sliterhead could really help out against a deck using undying. I'm not saying you could completely shut down a B/R Zombie deck with it, but it'd definitely go a long way (especially since cards like Geralf's Messenger do two damage to you when it enters the battlefield... and that triggers on undying as well).

Like, I'm not advocating Slitherhead at all. He seems like wasted space in this deck since we don't care about blocking and scavenging, even if free, for +1/+1 just doesn't seem worthwhile. The only undying creatures that are worrisome are Geralf's Messenger and Strangleroot Geist, but both of them are dealt with by Pillar of Flame. Take your two, burn, and move on with life. That was just an idea for if you were deadset on testing him out.

You do make a good point. I can't deny that.

I've been watching this thread for a while and decided to put my deck I've planned out in the open. Main DeckSpells: 15 4 Pillar of Flame 3 Dreadbore 4 Searing Spear 1 Thunderous Wrath 3 Mizzium Mortars Creatures: 25 2 Stonewright 4 Goblin Arsonist 4 Rakdos Cackler 4 Ash Zealot 2 Rakdos Shred-Freak 4 Hellhole Flailer 2 Desecration Demon 2 Rakdos, Lord of Riots 1 Carnival Hellsteed Lands: 20 4 Dragonskull Summit 4 Blood Crypt 10 Mountain 2 Swamp Sideboard2 Rakdos Charm 2 Rakdos Keyrune 3 Knight of Infamy 4 Nivmagus Elemental 2 Thunderous Wrath 2 Electrickery I would've included Bonfire of the Damned in the main deck instead of Thunderous Wrath , but since we all know how much that costs... In any case I think I need to justify some cards that I've picked. I dislike the zombie alternative of B/R since graveyard removal seems to be every colors thing now. Lands is the one thing I need to test, as 20 lands is low, but this deck has tons of one and two mana drops, so I think it's justified. Stonewright isn't obvious to many, but it combos well with Ash Zealot and Hellhole Flailer . Desecration Demon and Rakdos, Lord of Riots are there to create a threat bomb at turn 4, forcing opponent to deal with them. I'll probably swap Carnival Hellsteed for Thundermaw Hellkite as the finisher.

that list looks pretty interesting i jus have a few questions/suggestions if you don't mind
i think if you are running that many high drops you should maybe try adding a land or two? i mean you have a lot of low guys but if you stall at 3 lands and you need the demons to come out then it really sucks when you can't draw that 4th land.
i like thunderous wrath, how has that been doing? as well as the mortors? does it seem slow or is it good?

I haven't gotten to play vs any high level standard decks yet, so it's hard to say atm how it holds up. Against other decks in general yes, mana is one thing I'm working on. Some games I've struggled a bit, but the strangest thing is that how I'd always wish I'd had an instant burn instead of a sorcery one. Simply cause of the Ash Zealot 's first strike. 1 Mortar and Dreadbore for 2 Brimstone Volley might be the key, but I'm worried that it slows the deck down too much and then I'd certainly need to add 2 more lands which ment removing 2 mid-game bombs. Mortar is great, really game breaking and that's one reason I chose to go more red orientated than the black zombie route.

Guttersnipe is more of a control card. He's best in a deck with a lot of noncreature spells and flashback. He could possibly work in a Rakdos deck if you built it to be control, but you would probably be better off going grixis if you wanted to take that route.

What other 3 drops are there thats good. Hellhole Flailer I'm unsure about.
