1st off: keep rakdos cackler its the only good unleash card.
I'm honestly glad to hear that I'm not the only one who thinks that Unleash is an overall terrible ability.
SG
unleashis better than it looks. Because honestly, who's running these creatures and not turning them sideways every turn that they can?
3/3 first strike is decent, as is Ashenmoor gouger+

another question, how do we feel about other one drops ? what is the thought on diregraf ghoul?
As fast as this type deck plays, I don't think Diregraf Ghoul would be a good one drop since he comes into the battlefield tapped. That just kills the speed need for a a superfast aggro deck like we're discussing here. He's a great one drop for any Zombie deck, IMHO, since they play slower. If you are stuck on the idea of a Zombie coming out on a one drop, you could always go for Gravecrawler . If you run a playset of them and one gets killed, as long as another is on the field, you can recast it from the graveyard for just the one drop. On second thought, Gravecrawler may actually be a very good (albeit expensive) one drop for a fast aggro deck like this one.

Since I play with an Aggro mindset, I usually do swing with all my creatures each turn. But, there are times when I won't because I know my opponent has several big creatures on his side that I may need to block. Vigilance helps dramatically with this issue, but I don't think there's an "all creatures you control have Vigilance" card that could be played well in a deck this fast.

It's not like these creatures have haste. There is no practical difference between Diregraf ghoul and Rakdos cackler besides the ability to come in as a vanilla 1/1

How is this deck going to hold up against decks built completely around Detention? Not that we have any effects that we'd want to activate, but we couldn't swing for a couple of turns.

The one azorius guy I faced at the pre-realease beat me over with detain. In a single turn he had all my creatures detained and attacked with impunity. I will admit that this might not be the case for a deck as fast as this, but never underestimate detain, especially if they have creatures like Archon of the Triumvirate out.

Diregraf ghoul requires a black source on turn 1, which makes a turn 2 Ash Zealot impossible. For that alone I would discredit him against Cackler. Also, the blocking is irrelevant with this deck for the most part. Each turn we're blocking is one we're not beating face and winning. Only block if it saves you from losing.
As for detain. Yeah, it kind of shafts us. I don't really see detain decks getting that big so I'm not worried about it. If we build this deck to deal with fringe decks, we'll fold harder to popular decks. If your meta is full of detain, then you might want to adjust as necessary. If not, don't even worry about it.
Gravecrawler is worse for us than cackler. We're not playing zombies so there isn't a really reliable way to cast him from graveyard. If we do and have Ash Zealot out, we just shot ourself for 3 for minimal gain. Seems really bad. The mana situation is the same as Diregraf Ghoul. Just not worth it.
Unleash is pretty underwhelming usually, but it works just fine for us since we don't care about blocking 90% of the time.

I think for the 4 drop spot Hellrider is the best choice, I like the fact that with him we can still push damage through even if they have a lot of creatures blocking. Falkenrath Aristocrat is a good choice, I just like the feel of Hellrider better. For the one drop slot I like Vexing Devil but there is nothing that I would take out of the deck to put him in. When you throw him down turn 1 they are going to take the burn and if the play a shock land that puts your opponent at 14 turn 1. Once you get 4 mana out Vexing Devil + Brimstone Volley hits for 9 for 4 mana, or you get a 4/3 for one red, either way I am a fan. Like i said though not really anything I would rather have him instead of. With the Vampire Nighthawk out of the main board, it seems like we might be a little heavy on Swamps.

yes after a little testing the ghoul really underperformed for me. now i will probably try slither head and give that a whirl but it will probably have the same issues as it will be costing 1 black and that is a little tough,
also unleash is a last minute ability, i read that wizards originally had it for something that had an affinity for damage or life loss, something like that, but it was too over powered in testing so they just made up unleash. i guess if you look at rakdos lord of riots you will get what they were trying to do ha

Another thing to keep in mind when testing slitherhead is that if you're going to kill something that has undying, you can scavenge onto their creature so undying won't trigger. Same thing with unleased and blocking. That being said, Pillar of Flame is a better and easier option.
