Slum Reaper - 3b
Creature - Horror (U)
When Slum Reaper enters the battlefield, each player sacrifices a creature.
4/2

With all the tokens, I don't see this being that by of a deal.

A bigger (and thus un-Sun Titan-able) Fleshbag Marauder. Blah.

Seems bad for this set.
Flag RorixCollector September 17, 2012 7:40 AM PDT
Meh I will avoid playing this when possible.
Flag Rokukel September 17, 2012 7:40 AM PDT
Eeh, im not feeling it. Not that good.
Flag Sleeping September 17, 2012 11:26 AM PDT
Good against decks slower than yours. Their first creature will most likely be bigger than most of yours, but you have a creature that is fine to pitch to the effect and you end up with a better creature.

4/2 for 4 is fine if you have a dork to sac.

Not too bad. Maybe plyable.

Selesnya and its tokens will laugh at this guy. Golgari's Scavengers will likely be able to rebound from this. It's not as intimidating as it should be, as much as I would like it to shine.
Flag bay_falconer September 18, 2012 4:13 PM PDT
Blah. I'd prefer Fleshbag Marauder .
Flag silasw September 18, 2012 9:42 PM PDT
I am okay with a bigger Fleshbag Marauder .

But this is Golgari, or Rakdos. Though I don't see pitching a creature as being a good idea for Rakdos as all your creatures are just a little above the curve with no abilities and the inability to block. It's really a more dedicated sligh style, at least that's how it feels to me. For Golgari being able to sac a guy and still get value out of him basically means you won that trade.

Clearly not designed for standard given the token thing that's going on. Still, it's efficient. What more can you ask?

Somebody didn't read the flavor text.  This is an Orzhov early arival, just like the angel was an early showing for Boros.

Fleshbag Marauder 's too weak with a 1 toughness butt. This is stronger in Limited IMO.

I'd say in limited the difference between 1 and 2 toughness is actually less emphasized than any other toughness difference. Goblin Piker and Grizzly Bear are very similar, because nobody wants to play a Squire .

I can't read the flavortext because it isn't written and I'm at work. Also as this card will only get played in this limited environment, grudgingly, in Golgari, I'll call it a Golgari card.
