Well then, how does splashing affect the castability of our UU spells? Going via 8 Islands or 9? Just wondering. This is helpful too, thanks!
In both of my examples I gave our deck nine Island , so there wasn't a difference between splashing and not splashing. Though that's probably not fair. I guess if we didn't splash we could probably add in more Islands, duh. With eleven Island our chance of a turn three Encrust is 71%. With ten it's 66%. With nine it's 61%. With eight it's 55%. Yeah, double colored spells are one of the most punishing things in limited. Though remember, your chance of playing a colorless three drop on turn three is still only 84%, so think about it relative to that. Actually I just discovered a slight fault in my program. With two Plains and fifteen Island a spell that costs only has 81% of a chance of being cast, where it should be the same 84%. So, I guess I gotta fix my formula. I wouldn't recommend using the program for exact numbers until its fixed, since they could be off by a couple percentage points.

Public Execution for me. Be nice if the Tern wheeled, but I don't see that as being likely.

I like Public Execution in limited.
D&D rules were never meant to exist without the presence of a DM. RAW is a lie.

I think Flames is the pick. And is it just me or does Zokorad make the worst picks ever? I used to think he was joking but now I think he just is a bad drafter.

I think I would also take Flames here. I am not wedded to black in this deck and flames is one of the best uncommons in my opinion. I also like being able to get it back with Archeomancer!

Invaders
Tolkein was a jerk. Seriously, what DM sends 9 Wraith Lords at a Lvl 2 party of Halflings.
The only 'correct' way to play D&D is by whatever method is making the group you have at that session, have the most fun.

I'm not sure if I want Invaders or just another Drake. I think I'll go with Invaders. It's a pretty strong card in the right situation and allows us to hold up counterspells. Plus we really need creatures, so I think the bigger the better. I'd be perfectly fine with a Phyrexian Hulk even.

Invaders is very solid.
Those who fear the darkness have never seen what the light can do.
I've seen angels fall from blinding heights. But you yourself are nothing so divine. Just next in line.
