After comparing Pithing Needle to other cards, I'm 95% certain that it is card 233 and not card 231 in the set.  According to the numbercrunch, this eliminates the possibility of the Sigents appearing.

Maybe they'll show up in Sinker?  Or maybe they're considered to be too good for Standard.  I think one of Zach's articles not too long ago expressed that Signets were too powerful for current Standard.

I remember reading that someone from WotC (probably Maro) mentioned they want to avoid cards that produce two mana. So this doesn't surprise me at all.

Where Islands gets his decks:

It was revealed to me in a dream.  All the cards were in my dream except for three slots which I plugged in as Vault Skirge.

FULL DISCLOSURE:  The dream was post AVR so there was a copy of Slayer's Stronghold.  I decided to keep it pre AVR in my post here.

EDIT: I just remembered.  The Skirges might have been 2x Whipflare and 1x something else, probably War and Peace.

EDIT2:  Currently 4-0 in my first four games with this.  My opponents have been very angry.  I fought off a Wurmcoil from Grixis for six turns before I found my second Dispatch.  Jeez, I can do a lot of damage.

EDIT3: Streak broken.  Lost to an unexpected Overrun.    Cracking a Shrine for 10 wasn't enough.

How Kedi tests his decks:

also, I've been playtesting this deck in my sleep today
that kinda freaked me out

Sleeping on Halloween:

Halloween is a conspiracy by crossdressers and furries.

Funny thing though it just produces one since you have to put one into it.

I would also think they have more issues with the complexity of it.  When you have multiple spells you want to cast gets more difficult to figure out what to tap to accomplish this when you also have to put mana into them and get two different mana out.

I know but technically it produces two Tongue Out

They won't be printed for standard anywhere, IMO.

The two signets from that Duel Deck had new art but old flavor text. If they were to be on the block, they'd get new flavor text too. Having the old one means it's just new art for special products (duel decks, commander decks) and computer/console games (I'm sure the new arts will show up in the DotP expansion).

He seems like a nice enough guy lol.  I had already mentioned that when chromatic lantern was previewed it was as good as saying the signets were not coming back.  I'm ok with that, since chromatic lantern is a good substitute for 3 mana and I wouldn't want them to take up 5 artifact slots with cards we have seen before.  Reminds me of the "lucky charms" all over again.
