Hello, in playing a game of plane chase, if a creature has a totem armor enchantment and no fate counters, and a player plane walks away from Norn's Dominion would the enchantments be destroyed at the same time as the creature and destroy the creature as well or will the enchantments still be able to save the creature?
How to autocard (do this to specify a card in your posts): Type [c]Black Lotus[/c] to get Black Lotus . Type [c=Black Lotus]The Overpowered One[/c] to get The Overpowered One .
regeneration shield says "The next time [permanent] would be destroyed this turn, instead remove all damage marked on it and tap it. If it’s an attacking or blocking creature, remove it from combat."
I'd say "next time" is just the first destruction, not the second one as well
You only need to regenerate it once in order for it to survive. The destruction is simultaneous, so only one regeneration shield is required to save it. This is talked about in the RoE FAQ:
* If a spell or ability (such as Planar Cleansing ) would destroy both an Aura with totem armor and the permanent it's enchanting at the same time, totem armor's effect will save the enchanted permanent from being destroyed. Instead, the spell or ability will destroy the Aura in two different ways at the same time, but the result is the same as destroying it once.
For similar reasons, Masticore being targeted twice by Decimate would require only one regeneration shield to survive. If Decimate was worded "Destroy target artifact. Destroy target creature. Destroy target...", then it would take two regeneration shields to suvive (since the destruction is no longer simultaneous).
