And yet, nothing to say!

Let me say, this is the other half of Genesis Wave , but is mythic while GWave wasn't! My brother wants this for his Riku EDH deck.

"Innocent, unbiased observation is a myth." --- P.B. Medawar (1969)

"Ever since man first left his cave and met a stranger with a different language and a new way of looking at things, the human race has had a dream: to kill him, so we don't have to learn his language or his new way of looking at things." --- Zapp Brannigan (Beast With a Billion Backs)

Perhaps I'm missing something, but in the article he states:

  • If your opponent was fortunate enough to open a Jace, Architect of Thought, you can even use your Pyroconvergence to kill off the potentially game-dominating Planeswalker.

You can't target a planeswalker with this, right?

You target your opponent, and then once that damage is resolving you redirect it to your opponent's planeswalker.

You target your opponent, then choose to redirect the damage to the planeswalker.

I'm surprised the article didn't mention the Burning Vengeance deck from Innistrad draft, which feels like the closest comparison to this card.

This is just the obligatory red enchantment which does damage when [prominent mechanic/theme] is used. Burning Vengeance is much better, costing 5 is just too much for this effect, I see this having the same fate as Rumbling Aftershocks .

Okay, here is the clincher. I've been waiting to say this.

The "cam girl" this was inspired by was just a girl from a social networking website, Stickam. Her name was TinyTerror and she was just a regular girl who was on her webcam, totally unrelated to any type of adult content.

I hope you all feel really smart now.

This is like someone coming into class with a bloody nose and everyone's like "Jeez what happened to you" and they're like "I ran into a wall" and everyone laughs at them for being an idiot but then at the end of the class they say "HAHA JUST KIDDING I PUNCHED MYSELF IN THE FACE!!!!!! TALK ABOUT OWNED HAHAHAHAHA"

I really enjoy imagining this from Kevin's perspective. Because in Kevin's world, Rosewater actually reads everything he types. Mark is sitting there right now, reading this, and thinking "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled. . ." Or some such. He chuckles low, then clicks on "The Best Of KEVINSET" and says "Yes, this'll do just fine. A busty lady with banding who deals direct damage to Zones!? Why this will be the star of my next set, and no one will ever believe you Kevin." Then he closes his Macbook, so his servant may move it out of the way, while another servant puts a Fetal Richard Garfield Clone lathered in Steak Sauce in front of him. Then Mark Feasts.

Sorin walked into the chamber where his newly wed bride, Vampy, awaited. A beam of moonlight illuminated his brilliant silver hair as he strode with confidence towards the bed. His shirtless body showcased his powerful abdominal muscles and he was wearing jeans with holes in the knees.

My first thought was Furnace Celebration .

But unlike those cards, it seems like you'd be able to cast significantly more multicolored cards than flashbacked or sacrificed or kicked cards. So maybe it's not doomed?

Tell me again:
Why do they create cards which are exact replicas of previous ones?

This time, it's Rupture Spire VS the new Transguild Promenade.
«Dystocracy : A system of government in which corrupt leadership colludes with dishonest bankers and greedy elites in order to ensure that productive members of society –people who actually do useful work- bear the greatest share of taxes while gaining the least benefit possible.»

Sounds familiar?

Sometimes, when they want to reprint a card, they decide that it would fit better in the setting if they gave it a different name. I guess they decided that Rupture Spire felt weird on Ravnica, so they changed it to Transguild Promenade.

I personally like the flavor of Transguidl Promenade, so I don't mind the functional reprint.
