So, we all know with the passing of Day of Judgment clearing the board isn't going to be as easy.  Especially since Planar Cleansing is more expensive.  Albeit, it clears more than just creatures.  It removes ALL non-land permanents.  I wanted to figure out how this can be abused.

The first thought that came to mind was using Oblivion Ring and Fiend Hunter to remove your own permanents and creatures so that when you smack down the Planar Cleansing you have things on the field, and your opponent is left with nothing.

Can this concept work?

Updated Cardlist...

Arbor Elf
Avacyn's Pilgrim
Axebane Guardian - RTR

Control...

Pacifism
Fiend Hunter
And Oblivion Ring

With the killshot...

Worldspire Wurm - RTR
Splinterfright

Worldfire def gives easier ways to win immediately after, but the trouble is ramping into it. What would be the best method for this? I would maybe guess using Battle Hymn ? Maybe have Krenko to ramp out tokens first?

I had thought about this, and even mentioned it at the Mini-Master last night with the new Izzet Dragon...

You could token/ramp up to a Battle Hymn and then Geistflame , then into Worldfire .

That's a whole LOT of Mana to pull of that combo.  Ramp'd or not...

If you were going to do this, then you would need the ultimate White control.

4 Pacifism
4 Fiend Hunter
4 Oblivion Ring

Bare minimum.

I actually like that a lot. And Goblin Electromancer could prove useful in something like this too.

How many planeswalkers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Spoiler: Show

Better question, what does Nicol Bolas want with the lightbulb?

And it synergizes with Krenko, Mob Boss .
