Opponent have in play Knight Exemplar  and seven 2/2 knight tokens. I play chain reaction  . All his creatures die or tokens survive?

all die first, Knight Exemplar dies, then the tokens die because they are no longer indestructible if it was Wrath of God  the tokens would survive

Tokens dies because they have marked damage on it until end of turn, right?
