Cool trailer, but if my opinion counts for anything, PLEASE suggest marketing stop labeling things "My {noun}," implying the consumers have ownership or control over it. Seems nearly every other marketing department does it and I'm pretty sure no one's falling for it, it just smacks of insincerity and unsubtle manipulation. I believe that most Magic players are of above average intelligence, simply due to the nature of the game, and that they can see through the half-hearted grab for an emotional connection. It's the greatest game ever created, we aren't gonna suddenly stop playing or buying less product just because you guys don't mimic the advertising formula of every other company in America.
The visuals were utterly beautiful, though, and Jace, Narrative Sculptor was not entirely punchable.

The trailer was extremely dull apart from the art, which we'll eventually see on its own. Jace's ramblings don't say anything, making the whole video something of a waste. I'd have been happier if you'd just replayed the original Ravnica trailer. Unleash is a spectacularly boring mechanic. So much for me liking the Rakdos at all. Also, in the Mechanics of RTR article, there's an error with regard to scavenge: You can't activate a scavenge ability unless you control a creature you can target with it.
This is untrue according to the reminder text of Scavenge, which says "target creature", not "target creature you control". It is extremely important to know whether you can use scavenge on an opponent's creatures with Unleash to prevent them from blocking.
My New Phyrexia Writing CreditsMy M12 Writing CreditsAs far as the benefit of the rest of Magic is concerned, gold cards in Legends were executed perfectly. They got all the excitement a designer could hope out of a splashy new mechanic without using up any of the valuable design space. Truly amazing. --Aaron Forsythe's Random Card Comment on Kei Takahashi

It strongly implies that some non-guilded entity is scheming and directly manipulating all the guilds. This is different from Ravnica block, in which only some of the guilds were scheming and others tried to stop it.

Agreed. And what's with him repeating "activities" over and over again? Somebody go get him a thesaurus!

Yeah, it's setting up the story well enough. Is it Nicol Bolas again
Jace speaks like William Shatner aged 17. I don't think that's necessarily a great thing.

Pretty much agree with tehbeast here: the marketing slogan is just horrible and feels blatantly manipulative. But also that the visuals were beautiful and that Jace was bearable too.

pretty embarrassing that mtg.com would mix up the guilds on the booster pics. Boros is in Gatecrash, not RTR. ...so, with that information, we can assume the last booster is in fact Azorius, not Boros.
silly editors.

I love the G/W wolf run decklist. I often play similiar G/W decklists. It has 23 rares and 10 mythics main deck but at least it looks to be an excitingly fun deck if you can assemble those cards.
Don't be too smart to have fun
