Awesome card, love the flavor and the art! I'm excited about what Rares/Mythics Scavenge will bring us.

I think this card is humorous. The picture reminds me of Venom, and I get this image of when it dies and you activate Scavenge its a lot like Vemon possessing the next person it comes across.
I still love Scavenge so much! New Golgari is amazing!
So Golgari is shaping up to be unspeakably dull. Big value creatures with abilities that allow you to make your other big value creatures bigger. I wish they'd at least TRIED to do some interesting graveyard shenanigans. Something like Corpsecraft: if there are 3 or more creatures in your graveyard, do X. As-is, Golgari decks are looking to be boring as sin.
At least Gruul encouraged you to play creatures post-combat.
Sin isn't boring. And it would be stupid to use Scavenge to make big-value creatures bigger. That just makes them better targets. You use it to make your low-value creatures relevant late game. Which is, not surprisingly, the only time you should reliably have enough mana open to use scavenge, anyway.
and etc, etc, etc. Looks pretty on par to me... in fact Nulltrad Gargantuan looks OP to me... prolly just me though.
Nulltread Gargantuan was unbelievably horrible when it was printed. It would be much better in the current standard environment though because of all the creature tokens and Strangleroot Geists. Even then, it's vanilla and requires other resources to be useful at all.
You do realize you can't target your opponent's dudes. So maybe Strangleroot Geist and some ETB effects.
Hmm...Makes me wonder if Roaring Primadox means we're shifting "bounce my own guys" to green.
Isn't the dredge ability by definition card DISadvantage?
By definition, card advantage counts the number of cards in your hand plus the number of permanents on the battlefield. If you're skipping a draw to dredge a card, that is neither card advantage nor disadvantage. It can lead to card advantage, though, if your deck has cards that create card advantage from the graveyard. It also eventually lets you replace your draws with "get any dredge card I want."
You're supposed to also consider relevant cards in the graveyard. If my Life from the Loam brings more lands (to go with the card itself), dredge cards, or things with flashback/unearth into my graveyard, that's relevant.
But technically you can even squeeze "part card advantage" out of cards. For instance, Hideous End is one-for-one, but your opponent also loses two life.
Basically. But when the enchanted creature dies, all its auras die, too, so, yes, dies to removal. This is why cards like Rancor and Mesa Enchantress are so good. You get all the good stuff about auras, but none of the card disadvantage.
Keino, it's not an argument so much as a definition of card advantage. If Silverback Ape only counts as a single card, then why should Grizzly Bears wearing a scavenged Dreg Mangler count as two cards?
The Mangler falls in "half-card" territory. Your opponent used one card getting rid of it.

Indeed. That's why I mentioned Geist and tokens. So you could play Gargantuan without actually losing much tempo. It would also be pretty decent after a turn-2 Elvish Visionary.

What are you talking about? They look nothing alike.
So far between all the spoilers of this guy and a few of the Rakdos spoilers. Jund is a a deck again, although I will now call it Rakgari. Just to be correct.
