OK, so I have an idea for a card, and I have the text as I want it, but I'm not so sure about the name, the cost, and if it should be an enchantment or artifact. It feels kind of black, and feels even more white. If the text is too wordy or hard to understand please feel free to make suggestions to fix that, but I'm not changing HOW this card works. Anyways, here's the text..... When (blank) enters the battlefield put all exiled cards into their owner's graveyard. No card may be put into its owner's graveyard except from the stack or the battlefield. If a card would be exiled from anywhere, instead put it in it's owner's graveyard. No card may be put into its owner's library from anywhere. The idea behind this card, as you may be able to see, is to shut down a lot of mechanics. The way the second and third line of text interact, or rather the way they interact that I am going for, is that no spell, ability, or effect may exile a card from anywhere other than the stack or the battlefield. Cards like Surgical Extraction cannot be played while this card is in play. With it's power, this card should probably be legendary, but I don't think the cost should be more than 4 cmc. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Let's start by cleaning up the wording... As ~ enters the battlefield, put all exiled cards in their owners' graveyards. Cards can't enter libraries. Cards can't enter graveyards except from the battlefield or the stack. If a card would be exiled from anywhere, put it in its owner's graveyard instead. Now, a couple of comments... 1. Flashback totally loves your card concept. 2. Why do you not want cards to enter libraries? That stipulation just seems out of place on this card. Especailly since every other ability focuses more on the graveyards. I would be more inclined to ditch that ability and add "Cards can't leave graveyards." That would take care of flashback. Also, I would be inclined to narrow its focus by making it an enchant player. Behold... Consecrated Graves Enchantment - Aura Enchant player As Consecrated Grave enters the battlefield, put all exiled cards owned by enchanted player in his or her graveyard. Cards can't enter enchanted player's graveyard except from the battlefield or the stack. Cards can't leave enchanted player's graveyard. If a card owned by enchanted player would be exiled from anywhere, put it in its owner's graveyard instead. That's what I would do.

Consecrated Graves
Enchantment - Aura Enchant player As Consecrated Grave enters the battlefield, put all exiled cards owned by enchanted player in his or her graveyard. Cards can't enter enchanted player's graveyard except from the battlefield or the stack. Cards can't leave enchanted player's graveyard. That's what I would do.
The first ability is a triggered ability. It HAS to enter the battlefield BEFORE the ability can go off. Cards that work in this fashion are written "When (fill in the blank) enters the battlefield......". I know this is a subtle difference, but it is one I want to keep.
Another thing, this is basically a multipurpose hate card, that can hurt a lot of mechanics, but can also benefit players who build decks around it. I don't want a card that targets any one player. I want this to be a card that effects EVERYONE in the game.
And one last thing, I asked for help on SPECIFIC things. I appreciate your wanting to design a completely different card than what I am designing here, but that is not what this thread is for. Looking at it again, the wording on the card is fine, and will stay fine. If you don't like the card or the ideas behind it that is perfectly fine, you don't have to post a response as this card isn't for you. I am looking for help on the card name, card color, casting cost, and card type.

That's perfectly fine. However, as a triggered ability, the first ability won't work since the second only allows cards to be put into graveyards from the stack or battlefield...not from exile. Good luck though.

Alright, you got me there. The wording isn't fine. For it to work the way I want it to, it should read as follows......
When (blank) enters the battlefield put all exiled cards into their owner's graveyard. No other card may be put into its owner's graveyard except from the stack or the battlefield.
If a card would be exiled from anywhere, instead put it in it's owner's graveyard.
No card may be put into its owner's library from anywhere.

Cardname (cost) Enchantment When ~ enters the battlefield, put each exiled card into it's owner's graveyard. Other abilities and spells can't put cards into graveyards except from the battlefield. If a card would be exiled from anywhere, put it into it's owner's graveyard instead. Cards can't enter libraries.
I believe this would cost five mana or so, because it feels like a combo card more than a hate card.

The more I think about it, the more I see that it is very combo-esque. How can the graveyard, the removal of the rfg zone from the game (so to speak), and the graveyard correlate in one card? Sounds like I will have to redo this into a new mechanic, at least partially. There would probably have to be a back story to this that would play more heavily in the set this would appear in than in previous sets. I'll think on it.

The third ability ( If a card would be exiled from anywhere, instead put it in it's owner's graveyard) has a side effect that I find odd. If a card tries to move to the exile zone from anywhere but the battlefield or the stack, it'll end up staying where it is. For example: I activate the +4 ability of Karn Liberated . You try to exile a card from your hand. Consecrated Grave's(?) second ability replaces that with a move to the graveyard. The second ability prevents that from happening, so the card stays in your hand. You mentioned at the beginning of the thread that you are happy with the wording, so at this point I am simply asking whether this interaction is intentional.
