I could see them making another apperance if the phyrexians rediscover how to cross planes. But Wizards won't have that happen for a few years (probably 2-3 years, at least) because Nicol Bolas is the big bad guy, and they want to tap as much in terms of storyline as they can from him before they move on to Tezz/Phyrexia.

Well yeah.. losing, y'know, TEMPERED STEEL from out of Tempered Steel decks seems a might backbreaking.. or were you being sarcastic?
BW or Esper Tokens is gonna be a thing. I've been saying this for months, but lawd help us all when Ratchet Bomb rotates. As far as specific lists, obviously that's not even plausible at this point, but I'd just say picking up a couple extra sets of Lingering Souls would be perfectly prudent, since right now that card alone is the deck.
i'm pretty sure that junk colors is much more likely for a tokens deck than esper. blue offers nothing, but green will offer a lot.... ALOT!
Blue is the best color ever. How do you deal? Talrand seems good. Just to say.
Welcome to 2012. Blue has the most efficient creatures, black has the all-in monocolored aggro deck, the most controlling deck in the format is green-red, control decks lose to aggro in attrition wars, and counterspells aren't an answer to fatties.
Pack Rat is like Bitterblossom and Tarmogoyf had a black baby.

Favorable Winds and Drogskol Captain are good for Spirit token builds. Negate out of the sideboard also fights sweepers.
Edit: Then again, Triumph of the Hordes would be a neat way to win.

So... need Isolated Chapels, Woodland Cemeteries, Sorin LoI, Lingering Souls, Intangible Virture... I really think that the debate between WBU and WBG tokens deserves its own thread.

The catch is if you're using Blue for Favorable Winds and maybe Drogskol Captain do you really need Sorin if the only synnergy is making +1/0 emblems? Making vampires isn't very synergistic to the other two lord effects you'll use and as such you'll rarely get to ultimate him.
Boasts?

Sorin LoI always seems like a win-more card to me. He shines in the company of other planeswalkers, but on his own always seems to disappoint. Ability #1 is okay, but the tokens don't fly. Ability #2 is nice, but not amazing. He's rarely around for his ultimate unless you have some other, better planeswalker on the board.
What's the expectation in Green for tokens in RtR? Right now, that is basically nonexistent except for the oddball Kessig Cagebreakers. Fungal Sprouting is kind of useful in Limited, but doesn't seem like it will get much play in Constructed.

You must not have been around for the original Ravnica, Xylove. There was this guild called Selesnya, white/green, that revolved around tokens. Their new ability is supposed to be "populate," which gives you copies of tokens. So yeah, there will be tokens. As for cards in Innistrad, most of them are black or white, but we also get Garruk, who gives you a 2/2 wolf EVERY TURN.

Whoa sir, nobody ever said anything about Sorin. I had a BW tokens deck a month or so ago, and freakin' Sorin of all things didn't make the cut. He's just intensely bad. I mean it's really impressive how bad he is. At least Garruk 3.0 is a 4 mana removal spell at worst. Maybe post rotation standard will be weak/slow/durdly enough, but now, heck no. I will laugh Sorin out of town.
