OK, so here's what happened:

Started a match against 'givequicheachance', who was using Jace's deck.

Twenty-ish of my cards go to the graveyard without a card being played and then my first turn is completely bypassed, like it is when you can't play a card but of course I could have. WTF?

Anybody seen this before?

Chancellor of the Spires accounts for part of that.

I'm sure it was more than 7, but good point.

I played a game once where I started with two Chancellors in my hand.

There are two Chancellors in Dream Puppets.  I've also started with two in my hand.  That's 14 cards in the graveyard for all opponents.  14 can look like 20 when you're not stopping to count each one.

The other issue was likely lag.

Lag would explain why you didn't see the Chancellors get revealed, too. Well, that or the fact that the reveal function of the game is too fast.
