My friend has Animar, Soul of Elements in play with 8 +1/+1 counters on it. He also has Aluren in play. He has Darksteel Colossus in hand, which makes it casting cost 3. Can he cast it for free with Aluren, or is it's converted mana cost still 11?
Also, does Aluren effect evoke costs and other alternate costs? Can he cast a Mulldrifter (which costs 5 normally) for its evoke cost using Aluren, or does it only work for converted mana cost, not alternate costs (In this case Animar is not in play)?

It's very helpful to us if you autocard, so we don't have to look up the cards ourselves. 1. No. Animar, Soul of Elements  doesn't affect a card's Converted Mana Cost. It only modifies how much mana actually needs to be paid to cast a spell. Darksteel Colossus  always has a CMC of 11. 2. Again, no. Alternate or modified mana costs are not part of a card's Converted Mana Cost.
