eh not to sound like an ass but imo if you're whining about the AI being too easy you're doing it wrong.  I personally don't have an issue with the AI cheating (which it CLEARLY does), the way I look at it you get to play someone who almost always has the answers it needs in a given situation so you can see where the problems in your deck or playstyle are.  If you want a proper challenge play online that's what it's there for.

Definintely agreed.

Before I continue: has anyone experienced Goblin Guide knowing the top card of your deck on Archmage difficulty?

Anyway, thanks to some modding, Archmage is for me equally difficult as Planeswalker, but without the cheating. But modding should not be necessary! Now, the difficulty range is "Easy - Medium - Hard + cheating" without modding. Archmage has 2 differences as of now: the AI sometimes purposely "misses" moves, and some of their best cards are shuffled down their deck (basically: reversed cheating). Easily removed with modding, thankfully.

Now, this should either be "Easy - Hard without cheating - Hard with cheating", or a fourth difficulty setting should be introduced. Players should not have to choose between an AI making stupid mistakes and not drawing some of their best cards, or an AI cheating, when a middle ground is available! Once again, I'm not sure if even on Medium the AI cheats though (see my Goblin Guide question), but I have noticed a MAJOR difference with their card draws: it's much more equal to what I draw!

That's the main problem. It's understandable the AI can't be made perfect without cheating. But this game doesn't even offer a difficulty setting where the AI plays at its best without cheating! Once again: you're forced to choose between an AI purposely making mistakes and not drawing some of their best cards, or an AI that DOES do all that right, but cheats.

And of course, both Revenge and Normal decks AND decks like you modified them should be made available. When that all is available, it's fine Revenge opponents use cards we can't use (extra opponents is always fine of course!).

I am interested in this modding you were talking about. Care to explain how?

I don't know about anyone else but I always go out of my way to heed the advice of people with one post who just joined the same day in order to insult somebody. Bonus points if they have to throw in cussing to get their point across - that way I know they're an adult and probably a sage too.
