Hi all,

Pretty dumb question here - but recent disagreements among my group has me asking.
So if I was to cast Glimpse of Nature , I assume creatures cast onto the battlefield immediately after cantrip me a card.

Our arguement related to creature cards like Elvish SPirit Guide being turfed for it's mana.   
I assume no cantrip because it hasn't been cast?

Additionally, I assume a creature like Shifting Wall (where it has no additional mana paid) being cast and going straight to the GY, would cantrip?  


I've been told otherwise, but I just wanted to be sure one way or the other.  CHeers.

Casting a creature spell means too take the spell from where it is (usually the hand), put it onto the stack, and pay its costs, so that it will eventually resolve and enter the battlefield.

Glimpse of Nature will trigger and you will draw a card before the creature enters the battlefield.

Activating the ability of Elvish Spirit Guide does not count.

Also to answer your question, it is perfectly fine to cast Shifting Wall with X=0 to get the cantrip after casting the Wall. When the Wall creature spell resolves and enters the battlefield, it is immediately sent to the graveyard for having 0 toughness.
