But the rest of the deck is a pretty solid plan. Maybe not the 12-unsummon version, that seems a bit much, but Augur of Bolas , Snapcaster Mage , and Delver of Secrets fit into just the same instants-and-sorcery-heavy deck. This is all a variation on the lands + cheap instants and sorceries + cards that are bonkers with lots of cheap instants and sorceries plan that has been dominating Standard for a while.
And doing the above plan would be sticking Talrand in a Delver deck. Which is what I advised. Which makes me confused as to why I am having to type this.
Declining reading comprehension in America's schools?
Also, I'm talking about sticking Talrand and Quirion Dryad in a Delver deck, which is obviously not quite the same as just sticking Talrand.
Or, about sticking Quiron Dryad into this deck, in place of the Moorland Haunt splash and the Mutagenic Growth s, say.

No, I'm fairly certain it is.
< 20 creatures? Check. Lots of instants based around tempo and xerox? Check.
Sounds like a Delver deck to me. A delver deck that is having creatures shoved in that it doesn't really want.
Delver likes efficiency. Green is not a good color for efficiency, and splashing a 3rd color in a delver deck outside of legacy/modern (aka, good mana) for what is essentially a bad tarmogoyf doesn't seem right. Even if we get shocklands, I wouldn't splash for dryad in a delver shell because she's a godawful topdeck and there are waaay too many unsummon effects that just wreck her. I honestly see her in a G/x or naya aggro, where you are growing her by casting lots of efficient threats, so that dealing with her doesn't set your entire gameplan back 5 turns.
Talrand is so, so not good for tempo. tempo never wants to spend 4 mana on its own turn for a 2/2. I would rather play Talrand's Invocation than talrand in a tempo deck. If a good control shell surfaces, I believe we will see him in it.

So at my LGS i tried him out as a one of in my U/W midrange/control deck and every time i dropped him it was absurd(unless my opponent killed him immediately and even then i had some instant speed shenanigans to make value out of it)...
My question is though i wanna build a deck around him completely instead of just sticking him in something... i dont want to play delver since ive done that before and like playing new things in our free monday tournaments
What do you guys suggest for a good deck built around him? Money isnt an issue as i have access to almost any cards so disscus away and lets see what we can come up with!!
I was thinking maybe playing blue/red and playing like a counterburn style deck with lots of cantrips and other cheap instants ill post a decklist once we get some discussion going
Hey man dont Listen to these peep's I have been running a U/R Deck with him and he is the solid point of my deck.. i would recommend running a few Fog Bank +3 man some Goblin Electromancer's at least +3 unsummon +4 vaporsnag +4 searing spear + 3 lightning bolt +3 this is just some idea's bro you can get creative with it there is also a enchantment it costs 10 mana and allow's you two cast any nonland card from your hand without paying it's mana cost.. so (Archeaomancer)- (Tarland Sky Summoner)- (unsummon- or even better (vapor snag) plus that enchantment = infinate combo
