I want to build a deck that includes the following but, I am a little lost after that. I know what I want but I am not sure how to get it to run fairly consistant on somewhat of a budget. I know I want to use the following cards. I was hoping I could get some opinions on how to accomplish this. I basically want to abuse Nested Ghoul 's ability to fill the board full of zombie tokens. I also want to use Cathars' Crusade along with Pestilence or something similar to create increasingly large zombies. I figure a playset of Undead Warchief may help a little with the mana cost of the Nested Ghoul maybe run some Dark Ritual s as well. After this I am a little lost. I think that Necromancer's Covenant would also be nice, but at this point I have got a lot of high cost cards with little idea a what can support them. Should a run B/W control until I can get the pieces on line or should I go with more of an aggressive approach. I am leaning towards the control option. What are some cards that may fit this option. Thanks for all of your help. This is where I am at in the deckbuilding.

4 Nested Ghoul
4 Undead Warchief

4 Cathars' Crusade
4 Pestilence
4 Dark Ritual
2 Necromancer's Covenant

4 Orzhov Basilica

What is your Budget? Do you have any Format or Legality restrictions?


I'm not really seeing a whole lot here to convince me that is a better choice than . Especially wth stuff like   DireGraf Ghoul in .
Although, having said that, you do get access to TideHollow Sculler , who is awesome, and StillMoon Cavalier too.

I'd consider Glorious Anthem over Cathars' Crusade - it's quicker.

In regards to Necromancer's Covenant - it's too situational. There are better,cheaper,and more efficient graveyard removal out there. Additionally, the lifelink zombies you get doesn't really outweigh the steep cost. I'd run it as a 1 of, if at all.

Pestilence is cute alongside Nested Ghoul - you could look at HecaTomb too.
