Okay so I've abandoned the Morbid-Sac idea after seeing three of them at a local FNM. So the new Idea is an Aura heavy deck. It'll be a slightly slow start, but we usually play 2up 2down at my local shop. Here is what I want, so far. Creatures Celestial Ancient x4 Kor Spiritdancer x4 Aura Gnarlid x4 Auramancer x4 Vigor x1 Birds of Paradise x4 Enchantments Felidar Umbra x4 Bear Umbra x4 Boar Umbra x4 Spirit Loop x4 Spells Fog x4 Lands Selesnya Sanctuary x4 Graypelt Refuge x4 Forest x10 Plains x6 The use of the Selesnya Sanctuary is on purpose. It is a play for using Graypelt, sending it back to my hand. It's a potential 8 life, just for playing lands. A majority of the enchantments have totem armor, so that allows me the chance to survive some nice destroys. Fog gives me a early on defender, and if I play Kor Spiritdancer early on, she gives me quick draws and early buffing. I only own one Vigor, and really by the time he hits the feild he won't be needed... but it's nice to have on. Might replace him with a Gravity Well for flyer protection. Otherwise, the birds are a decent defense if I enchant them instead.

I own a singleton Dowsing Shaman that I keep trying to find a good use for... this looks like just the kind of deck he might be at home in.

I thought about him, but realistically, he's a 8tap to return one enchantment. That's why I rolled four Auramancer

You have a point; he's probably better for a singleton format like EDH where one needs multiple different ways of accomplishing the same task to get the same kind of redundancy you get running 4-ofs in a constructed deck. Have you thought about using Flickerform s on your Auramancer s in order to get repeated use out of them? It also provides protection from removal, including board sweepers, providing you can leave the mana up for the ability.

My advice is to take a look at the posts about my enchantress deck in Verdentforce's Deck workshop thread. Especially the last post where I switched it to G/W. other then that my biggest suggestion is to swap Auramancers for Rofellos's Gift if your not cocernd with sets. Ancestral mask and Beastmaster's magemark are also good picks.

What is your Budget? Do you have any Format or Legality requirements? The 8 Life trick is too slow and provides too little a pay off. So: - 4 Selesnya Sanctuary + 4 BrushLand I dislike that none of your creatures (save Aura Gnarlid ) have evasion. I'm also unconvinced that you need a full playset of AuraMancer 's, and both Celestial Ancient and Vigor seem like they would take too long before having any kind of impact, so: - 4 Celestial Ancient + 4 ElderWood Scion - 2 AuraMancer - 1 Vigor + 3 Silhana LedgeWalker I run a Uril, The MistStalker EDH deck, and I've found that the best Aura's to run are those which help you connect with your opponent. So: - 4 Felidar Umbra + 4 Rancor - 4 Boar Umbra + 4 Pentarch Ward With both Aura Gnarlid and Silhana LedgeWalker it might be fun to run Snake Umbra .

I'd be leaning to skip life gain in this case. it can swing the game in your favor, but it's kind of its own thing that doesn't really help the rest of your deck. when I built my version of this I opted for critters with the exalted ability (like the aven squire and qasali pridemage ) and auras that give abilities like battle mastery . the aura gnarlid doesn't care where he gets his buff from, amd double strike lets whatever you are attacking with kill fast.

I ran a Spirtdancer Aura deck for a long time it's a lot of fun and usually only works if you can get it off fast enough. I personally would say this deck needs 4 Rancor and 4 Hyena Umbra because they are cheap costing aura's that you can load on your spirit dancer and further abuse her power. For even further card draw I would add Snake Umbra . Umbra mystic is also really good combo with Rancor But I would leave that up to you because you might not be able to benefit from umbra mystic as much. I would drop some of the more expensive creatures because they are very slow try adding some smaller creatures to help you out in the begginng like Watchwolf I LOVE this deck type and I had loads of fun with it. I ran it a little differently but those are my tips I would give you.

I agree with the above post, I run a similar deck to yours, (G/W) My favorite part about it is the 1 drop enchantments like rancor, spider umbra, hyena umbra I can stack on the spirit dancer and aura gnarlid multiples at a time rather then 1 boar ubra this turn then 1 drake umbra next turn.

Two quick suggestions: Pentarch Ward (with dancer out, it's draw two cards and protection from the required colour) and Grizzled Leotau .
