I thought that I drafted a pretty fun deck tonight. It was certainly effective, going 6-0. The interesting thing about it was that it was almost mono-blue: 2x Mist Raven 2x Fettergeist 2x Latch Seeker 2x Into the Void 2x Peel from Reality 1x Temporal Mastery 1x Nephalia Smuggler 1x Wingcrafter 1x Alchemist's Apprentice 1x Gryff Vanguard 1x Fleeting Distraction 1x Crippling Chill 1x Geist Snatch I also decided to splash green for 1x Trusted Forcemage , 1x Druid's Familiar , 1x Nettle Swine , and maybe one other green card. The deck worked exactly how you would expect. Drop down one of the beaters ( Latch Seeker or Fettergeist ), pair him with one of the green soulbond creatures, then just keep bouncing the opponent's creatures until they are dead or disconnect in frustration. The funnest thing about the deck was that there were often many different lines of play that could be taken, so finding the best one was sometimes a challenge but once it was found it was often very powerful. For example, when to drop the Fettergeist ; how long to keep a Peel from Reality before using it; when to crack the Alchemist's Apprentice or cast a Fleeting Distraction to try to get the miracle or even just to get a guy off the board to lower the Fettergeist upkeep cost. Instead of splashing for green I also had the option of splashing for white: Seraph of Dawn , Cathars' Crusade , and Moonlight Geist . With the flyers and Latch Seeker s though I thought that getting the soulbonders would pay off best and that did seem to be the case.

I assume this was LGS, not MTGO, the cards you listed (including the G/W) are much better than you should have had?

Nope, this was MTGO. I played swiss since a tournament was about to go and the 8-4 had 0 people in the queue. Yeah, seeing a Fettergeist wheel was pretty ridiculous (I took a Mist Raven over it as my p2p2 pick.)

AVR boring? Heck, I still draft DKA online.
Awesome deck! I never was able to crack the AVR format at my LSG, although I only tried a few times.
I think you made the right choice not splashing for white - looks a little dangerous with the powerful, yet double-white cards.

You definitely made the right choice by choosing green over white, the green cards are much better (some of the best in fact!) at creating the tempo you need to win. Their splashability is just cake.
