95% of Restoration Angel casting is . They REALLY need to step up black and red if they're gonna survive without Doom Blade.

Ok, a couple things here... 1) Restoration Angel is one of the most obvious powerhouses in standard 2) magic isn't really a "children's card game" any more than chess is a "children's strategy game." Using that line simply demonstrates that you are trying to win the argument through demeaning insults rather than logic
1. I'm not sure if you're directing this at me or not, but I'm not really arguing this case. 2. Call it whatever you want, I meant it not as a demeaning insult at Magic itself but as a way to convey how trivial it is to argue about a card game, regardless of the age group. A similar case applies for YuGiOh (however you may or may not wish to argue that it's more directed towards a younger audience) where the phrase is brought up to show how ridiculous it is to get frustrated at a "children's card game." I don't see how nitpicking my words really demonstrates your point. Although if you do see a flaw in the logic or an actual demeaning insult, feel free to share. Restoration Angel

I think that may be the point. Apparently Wizards wants to make the game more creature focused so cheap removal is becoming depowered.

Sad to see Frost Titan (only 'cause no one plays him) and Inferno Titan go away. If more people still played Frost Titan, I'd be just as happy to see him go away.

Wizards said they thought Dismember was a mistake. Now Doom Blade's out of the core set. Oh, but hooray we get Mutilate. Let's just keep making black as narrow as possible >:[

Usually I reserve a certain amount of "benefit of the doubt" for posters, but obviously Highway is trolling hard and he's done this before xD.

@asian: #1 wasn't directed at you. I'm posting from my phone so quoting is difficult at best. As for the rest... we're on a magic forum. If you care enough to post here, then obviously the game isn't completely trivial to you. Furthermore, people spend most of their time on "trivial" stuff, so who cares? When you use the "trivial" argument on a forum like this, all you're doing is attempting to demean your fellow poster. That entire portion of your post serves absolutely no other purpose. And it's hypocritical (again, you're here).

I see you're missing my entire point. I already stated that it wasn't my intention to directly "demean" Magic but show him how trivial it was to argue about it. I was referring to the act of arguing over a card game, using children's to help convey the idea that a card game should only be taken light-heartedly, maybe a missight on my part considering that it's a common phrase in YuGiOh but not necessarily here. So please read more carefully next time before you accuse me of being a hypocrite and just let this thread die already.

And seriously, what's worse? Arguing over a game, arguing over arguing over a game, or arguing over arguing over arguing over a game? ...

Look, I get that you're upset that you thought I was badmouthing Magic as a children's card game, but what's the deal? I'm just trying to explain myself and resolve any miscommunication we might be having. That can't be enough of a reason for you to react the way you did. If you want to disagree with what I said, that's fine with me. Just don't make petty arguments over semantics and react like an immature child when I explain myself. I've tried to give you that much, at least, in acknowledging your comments. If I offended you, I apologize. I just want to stay on good terms with the more seasoned members and explain myself clearly.
