Like I said, your card is even more powerful against newbies, who tend to have a strong hatred of land destruction (and usually an irrational one). When land bases get more complicated (as tournament decks do), this card is probably pretty fair and prevents taking out their final land, but considering it's not particularly the competitive players Wizards is trying to keep from pissing off with this philosophy, it concerns me. It's not a bad card but I don't think it's very fit for this contest. I like the anti-color screw idea, but I think a very aggressive sorcery is not the place for it. vlord: Garruk's Claim This isn't very strong, but why the heck hasn't it been printed before? o.o I think it could cost 1 less, mind you. 6/10
Before this gets ORCed. The reason I costed it so high was that Demolish and Caterize being the standards of LD by today, LD with partial ramp surely has to be better so I costed it one higher. Thoughts? Yeah, I can't understand why it hasn't been printed too. It should!
I feel like it's not that they don't want land destruction to be good, they just don't want it to be cheap. Craterize is one of the weakest land destruction spells in (near future) Standard and Wizards knows it. I think they more want to remove Stone Rain than they want to keep good bonuses from getting on Craterize . Take Bramblecrush for example: remove the ability to kill enchantments, artifacts, and planeswalkers and get a free land for it. Seems like an upgrade but not a huge one. Ramping 1 is much less useful when you already have four lands, anyway ( not to say it still isn't good ).

I prefer the original version -- the untapping clause makes it way too good. It's an 8/8 for 5, it needs a major drawback.

GM, even in the fantasy world where your idea works as intended, it it's still an unnecessarily complicated way to do it.
Spoiler:

what I would do:
GM's Thing 1 Sorcery Destroy target land. At the beginning of its controller's next precombat main phase, that player adds to his or her mana pool.
what you might have done:
GM's Thing 2 Enchantment - Aura Enchant Basic Land Enchanted land has " : Add to your mana pool" and loses all other abilities.
even this would be less complicated:
GM's Thing 3 Enchantment When ~ enters the battlefield, exile target basic land, then that land's controller gains control of ~, then tap ~. When ~ leaves the battlefield, return the exiled land to the battlefield.
: Add to your mana pool.
I correct myself, I finished off the render today, removing champion. The simplest way is, "Proxyterrain enters the battlefield tapped under the control of an opponent of your choice, then exile target land that player controls."

As I said, the comprehensive ruling you've provided is contradictary to the context of the wording composure used.
This sentence needs to be the flavor text on an un-card.

You can't have paws AND a fist. Pick one.

I have paws that can make a fist. If I didn't have some sort of digital independence I couldn't play the piano. Duh.
Also you can make a fist-shaking gesture whether or not you are actually physically capable of making a fist.

Paws into Fists EnchantmentWhenever a Beast attacks or blocks, it loses all abilities and becomes a 1/1 Human Soldier until end of turn. "Be you man, or animal? Perhaps both?"
