Does anyone know of a card that has an effect along the lines of this:
When a card returns to its owner's hand, destroy it instead.
I remember a card that had that effect, but I'm not sure whether it was from MTG or Yugioh xD

If what you are thinking of is a Yu-Gi-Oh! card, I have no idea what it might be because I have not played that game since the Earthbound Immortals came out. As for MTG, the closest things that I know of to that kind of effect are Warped Devotion  and Recoil  , although neither of them destroy anything. Azorious Æthermage also has a similar effect but benifits you rather than hurts an opponent.
