if you were running more basic lands I would suggest Boundless Growth in m13, but that doesn't help you much with all the dual lands. You could also throw in a copy or 2 of Temporal Mastery , since this deck seems to want extra turns, either to play lands or to untap door and win.

Hmmm, boundless growth is nice, but my ramp engine will be rather consistent with trading post plus + mycosynth wellspring or solemn simulacrum. Also, I feel that I lack the green permanents for boundless growth to be fully utilized. Temporal Mastery is nice, but it's a bit pricey and I am on a budget.

You don't need green permanents for Boundless Realms. It costs 7CMC (6G), to look for x basic lands, equal to number of lands you control, and put them into play tapped)....**sorry I had written the wrong name earlier, my bad.

That is an excellent ramping effect, but I feel my deck has enough high-drop cards that adding in a 7cmc card would gimp it at this point. I appreciate all of this feedback, though.

I get what people are trying to say, since there are decks that will win by turn 4 on average, and you're looking to get to 10 mana, plus drop an artifact (for which there is plenty of removal) that EtBT... your odds are not great, but if your set on building the deck:

my only advice is run it like a cheesy "wolf run ramp" deck.  Again, if you were running that build, everyone would just tell you to "run WRR," but it is probably the fastest the deck will run.  This may mean the deck is only good until RtR comes out, since Prime Time is rotating, as is viridian emissary and I believe solemn simulacrum is too...

Basically, I would switch to basic lands, lots of dorks, and ramp out the @$$...

I have no idea how that would do, but it could be a start...

I've got a reasonably effective "Door To Nothingness" deck. It's not competition-worthy, but sample draws consistently win on turn 5 (unopposed), and that has been my experience too. It is a Standard format primarily Green Ramp deck. I think there is a LOT of opportunity for improvement, but it's a real deck and I only have so many cards and so much money.

It is most vulnerable to artifact-removal, agressive-burn or token, and fliers.

I call it the "Goofy" deck:
10x Forest
3x Swamp
2x Plains
2x Island
2x Mountain
2x Relequary Tower (placeholder for when I find 2 more Gilded Lotus's)

--- Win Condition ---
1x Nicol Bolas
4x Door To Nothingness

--- Pente-color mana ---
4x Boundless Realms
4x Farseek
2x Gem of Becoming
2x Gilded Lotus
2x Abundant Growth

--- Quick Ramp ---
2x Avacyn's Pilgrim
2x Arbor Elf
2x Dawntreader Elk

--- Card Pull ---
1x Diabolic Revelation
2x Increasing Ambition

--- Defense ---
1x Tree of Redemption
2x Stuffy Doll
3x Creepy Doll
2x Cobbled Wings
1x Favor of the woods
3x Vanguard's Shield

I'm interested to hear what others think about this.

Thanks!
