vlord, I'm sorry you misunderstood the importance of relevancy. I stated very clearly that the paragraph had to detail the relations between the Eight of Swords and the form/function of your entry. Usually, you shouldn't have to explain exactly what that means to an adult (assuming you are one). I do my best to give everyone the benefit of the doubt that you are all of respectable intellectual capacity. And at the very least, that you all can understand simple instructions. There are many people who, if you explain things to them, they will take it personal, and it will offend them. There is a thin line to be drawn there. I feel it's best to explain myself later if I must, rather than offend someone and begin an uphill battle socializing with that person, trying to get on the same page peaceably.

If you had taken your time, and put more detail into your entry, I'm sure you wouldn't have had the trouble you did with writing out the relation between the two. As I said, you likely just threw the abilities together, named it, and called it done due to a vague sense of relativity between the single concept of victimizing, and the destroy/discard/disruption effects of your entry. I'm going to quote myself below to answer your question about "How is it not victimizing". More importantly, your entry also lacked detail. You choose quantity over quality. There were so many meanings to the Eight of Swords, so many more details. It appears as though you just took the easiest one and didn't give a second thought to anything else.

Victimizing is generally singular. You're not going to destroy your own minions in the process. You're not going to trash your resources. Only the last ability fits in as victimizing.

Lastly, there is no better wording. The composition is what's wrong. You could have to totally resign it. And with that there are too many other details to get into right now. I just want you to understand it's a ability function problem and not a wording composure issue.

That's probably the most condescending post I've ever seen on this board that started with the words "I'm sorry".

also, I'm glad you've found a way to avoid offending people and streamline socializing and getting on the same page peaceably. seems to be working out great for you.

I wasn't offended by your response. I was bemused.
I'm afraid I think you missed alot of what I was trying to say. I plan on getting my card graded by Jessica Morgan.
Sorry to bother you.
Cheers, vlord.

I would say stop feeding the troll, but I find it slightly amusing as to how many times he contradicts himself. That being said, the more we comment on here, the longer it stays up on page one. Let's not waste page one with this joke of a thread.

I'm not trying to be condescending. Not even in the sense of the respective spell . Therefore, my statement cannot be so in essence, because the intention wasn't so. No thought of being condescending went into its construction. Your judgement is all based on interpretation. It's only truly condescending as far as you're concerned. I hope you understand this fact. The concept itself of nitpicking my comments, and then assigning to them a negative judgement has itself become protocol for many of you. But me being the villain here isn't the reality of things.

In reality, I've done my best for a long time now to simply state the facts. I've been as mature as I could be. I've come to expect nothing but the opposite from most everyone else here. Being condescending, audacious, sardonic, obnoxious, and malicious. There are plenty of threads in which the evidence clearly shows many of you (and your MUPs) blatantly trolling me; insulting me, make my statements out to incorrect, insulting my statements, and encouraging Jessica_Morgan to not only do the same, but to go out of her way to fight me endlessly. I'd like to take this time to extend to you the same offer I've presented earlier.

Because I may not have started out as mature here on these forums; when people were being blatantly controlling and hateful, I gave them a piece of my mind. I fought fire with fire. But I've since changed my methods, and yet here you all are, no better then you were back then.

As I've also stated, I've gained a lot of negative attention from people with control issues, who have become frustrated due to their inability to control me. If you find that you fall into this category, I don't think it should be too much to ask of you (for the sake of peace, to prevent conflict) to simply abstain from contest activity.

@altimis I hope that your victory here doesn't go to your head. You pretty much won by default. I granted you and pablo a mercy because you both matched the criteria enough to be considered. Your entry however, wasn't at all of a worthy caliber. I feel it's important that you understand this fact before the next time you insult my thread, and my honest attempt to provide the community here with an appealing and fun design game.

A polite person, Bankai, would recognize that other people's feelings are important, and that, regardless of your original intention, it's possible to come across in a way you don't understand or believe you have behaved.

I find it interesting how much you want to read into vlord's intentions -- "You likely just threw the abilities together, named it, and called it done" -- without examining his actual intentions; and how desperate you are to defend your actions by declaring your own intentions above interpretation by others.  As a third party observer, I don't know what either of you may have originally intended, and frankly, I don't care.  But only one of you comes across as a schtoie.  Don't be a schtoie.

Your statement can't be considered condescending because it wasn't your intent?  "Gee, sorry officer, but I didn't mean to hit that guy with my car, so it can't be considered a homicide!"

If you're being as mature as you can be, you have a fairly low threshold for maturity.

Altimis also already pointed out that he won by default in your farce of a contest (I can link random words to dictionary.com too! :D ).  I'm really surprised anyone entered at all, but I suppose some are more masochistic than I am.   Also, I doubt Jessica_Morgan needs any encouragement from anyone else to fight you.  If you really think he(she?) does, you are deluding yourself.

@Altimis: Sorry for being another bump to page 1, but it's just so amusing to me!  To put out such mediocore work on a consistent basis and then judge everyone else's cards as poor is just too funny to me.  Besides, trolls need to eat, too.  At least I would imagine so Tongue Out

It was a mistake of me to not read over all the content first. I did give time later (as fair measure) so that anyone could re-configure their designs accordingly. When you enter a contest, you don't bring your own rules, you follow the contest holder's. That should be common sense. As I've said, this was the first contest, and there are generally always some bugs to be worked out.

It should also be common sense to go with the common representation of something which you ask people to make, instead of one that you made up. There are multiple interpretations of the Tarot cards, and you should have given a choice instead of forcing your beliefs on to other people. I think that you would have been incapable of judging this contest objectively if it had been real (2 qualifying cards really isn't a contest). You have a very strict belief of what the card means, and anyone who disagrees with that belief would have a low grade.

As I've also stated, I've gained a lot of negative attention from people with control issues, who have become frustrated due to their inability to control me. Really? Because from the looks of this contest, you seem to have disqualified several people due to YOUR inability to control THEM.
