I think goon (aka the hulk) is a pretty great card, once in a while you may get outnumbered (Odric maybe) but most the time this deck will have the numbers and he'll be able to swing away

Still no haste though.

I don't really like the Goon.
There are a lot better 4 drops like Krenko, Clickslither and Ringleader who will all win you the game. I also run the 2 Reckless Ones because everyone plays Goblins and Reckless One is insane in the mirror.
If you really want a Goon(because he always is a 6/6) I suggest you run him instead of one Reckless One

I think you can find room for Goblin Goon pretty easily, since there are so many filler cards in this deck. The good thing about him is that your opponent will have to block it instead of other goblins. This means he's a good way to broaden the lifespan of your creatures. And there are 3 lords in the deck to give your creatures haste, so this shouldn't be a problem.
WotC doesn't care about flavor. Their forum is the only place where an ORC can kill a troll...

I like goblin goon. I'd never put him in the deck over most of the other 4 drops like ringleader, but I think he's fun. That said, I did end up cutting him from my deck, but he was one of the last, if not the last, card that I did.

I have thegoon in my build, but he sure isn't replacing reckless, ringleader, or seige-gang. He's just another "have to block" to protect the "want to block" lords. Since the deck curves out at a few 4-drops and 1 5-drop it doesn't seem like a problem. Last night I finished unlocking my fourth deck and decided to dip a toe in multiplayer. First time I ran goblins was a mirror so I tried again, and that was the mirror as well (both games won by the first to play reckless one naturally). Then I gave up and played my favorite decks ancient wilds, obedient dead, and born of flame and beat goblins with each of those. Looks like there's an early favorite for most ubiquitous deck.

Why does everyone seem to include Goblin Guide ? This card is horrible and every time one of my opponents has run it it probably won me the game. I let this guy live and hope he attacks every turn to pull those lands off the top of my deck for me. One game, I drew 5 lands this way. All that to get 2 damage through per swing...I'll leave it out of my deck thanks.
Lol. Noooooob alert!
I was introduced to Magic through D12, and have never played paper magic, so I am unfamiliar with most cards out there. If you bothered to really read my post, I was speaking from my personal experience when facing the card. Also, it seems that you didn't read my second post on the subject in which I argued a case for running Goblin Guide . Instead, you decided to offer nothing intelligent to the conversation, and you just belittled someone over the internet. Let me tremble from your great courage.
I'll stick with the consistency and synergy of Reckless One over Goblin Goon . His drawback will just have me raging at the world like Raging Goblin if I'm close to victory and topdeck it as a dead card.
Further proving your lack of intelligence, if you topdeck eihter Reckless One or Goblin Goon with an empty board, they are both pretty useless as the former will be a 1/1 with haste for 4cmc
Lol no. You just mad because I was laughing that you think Goblin Guide is a bad card when it's either the best or 2nd best 1 drop red creature ever made. At the very least Reckless One is a 1/1 with haste or can be used as a chump blocker if worst came to worst. Sometimes all you need is 1 damage.
Reckless One and Clickslither both have built in haste, Goblin Goon does not. You can't always rely on the goblin lords for haste, they are removal magnets.

goblin goon was also one of the last cards I removed and it was tricky but with reckless one, krenko, clickslither, and ringleader all occupying the 4 drop slot he just got squeezed out, for a long while I used him with these cards but the last 3 unlocks were so good, that's when I dropped him

@Mr Wiggles
Which 1 drop are you thinking of that rivals the guide? Off the top of my head I can't think of any red one drop that's as good but I'd be interested to know your thoughts

Goblin Lackey
Just an insane card. Then someone over at wizards said, "hey we need to pump out more totally generic mythic rares. How about Goblin Lackey as a 2-drop with double strike and call it Warren Instigator ? Ok sounds good to me."
