Thanks for writing this. I've always been on a limited budget for Magic, so I always came up with decks and then tested them before purchasing all the cards. I wanted to know that if I was going to drop 20 bucks on a dual land, or other pricey rares, I wanted to know that I was actually going to use it.

not really. They were mainly accurate for any vanilla creatures. So a vanilla two-drop should be 2/2, a three drop 3/3, et al. the exceptions are almost always crarriers of cool abilities, see snapcaster mage and geist of saint traft.
