Well, it appears that my old profile got eaten in the past few years but I wanted to throw this up here. After reading mulitple threads about owning original Magic the Gathering art I have finally been motivated enough to start a site to compile the Original Art information. Right now it is just a skeleton but I set it up as a wiki so anyone that wants to contribute is welcome. The goal is to have a listing of every piece of art in the game as well as composition (paint vs. digital), ownership status and maybe someday even a place that you can advertise pieces for sale (though I don't know how feasible that is) Since I know nothing about building a website I made it in Google Sites and am currently building out the relevant information. sites.google.com/site/originalmagicartwi...If anyone wants to be added to the list of approved editors, just send an email to: mtgoriginalartwikimaster@gmail.comI want to use this as a building block to learn a bit of web design but if anyone else wants to jump on the project, please let me know.

Not a bad idea. I don't have time to devote to the project, but I'll keep an eye out. It sounds like the kind of thing that could be an effective partner to the Expanded Multiverse.

The site has been updated and a new and improved domain purchased. www.originalmagicart.com is now the new home for this wiki. All changes are still being made through Google Sites but this should provide us with a better opportunity to get more people involved in identifying and locating all of the Original Art out there. I will be at Gen Con to promote the site and hopefully get some more editors as well as gather up goodies to give away to contributors to the site. Stay Tuned!

Hm, any reason why you ordered the artists by first name rather than last name? Seems rather counter-intuitive.

How would the first name/last name work for cards featuring more than one artist, or those who only go by one name, or use a pen name ?
