I've wanted to try legacy out for a long time, but two things were always stopping me. 1) No-one near where I live plays legacy, nor are there legacy events of any real merit and 2) decks are waaaay too expensive to warrent building on MTGO (can't justify THAT much cash on digital cards). Then I saw the article on Squandered Resources today featuring super-budget legacy decks. I know they aren't going to be powerhouses, but this one looks like something that will at least give me something to try out the format. land 18 x Forest creatures 4 x Aura Gnarlid 4 x Gatherer of Graces 4 x Silhana Ledgewalker 4 x Yavimaya Enchantress 2 x Verduran Enchantress Two-for-one's 4 x Ancestral Mask 2 x Aspect of Mongoose 4 x Canopy Cover 4 x Rancor 4 x Wild Growth 3 x Utopia Sprawl 3 x Spider Umbra And that's it. Its not fancy, but it looks clever and fun to play. First thing I did was hop on gatherer and see what enchantments WEREN'T included. I spotted these as potential inclusions: Hidden Gibbons Ground Seal Lignify Seal of Primordium Hall of Gemstone Hidden Gibbons and Hall of Gemstone scream sideboard vs. any deck with blue in it. A potential 4/4 on turn 2 is good, and if it eats a FoW, even better. Ground Seal is SB for reanimator. Lignify would be a 2/2 split Main deck and Sideboard, probably going -2 spider umbra for the MB, and subbing out mongoose if I need to add more vs. Aggro. I'm sure there are plenty of artifacts that warrent the inclusion of seal of primordium in the sideboard. Any thoughts? Once again, I know this isn't even Tier 2 material, but for what is essentially a legacy intro pack, it looks pretty good.

Wow, not even a "Casual Forums are over there?"
I played this 5 times so far, and won 3 of them, which isn't bad. Lost to reanimator and dredge, beat Maverick, elves and an either really poorly played or really poorly made Delver deck. They weren't crushing victories, but they were wins.
Vs. Reanimator: 0-2 I got blown out by T2 Reanimations both times. First was Inkwell Leviathon, second was Iona. This is an AWFUL matchup for me, gotta figure that one out.
Vs. Dredge 0-2
Its Dredge. Blah.
Vs. Maverick:
Had a T1 Wild Growth into T2 Ledgewalker + Rancor. T3 saw ancestral mask and 7 damage. T4 They played a pridemage and nuked mask, swung with a 3/4 goyf. Played Verduran Enchantress T4, cantripped off a Wild Growth into another mask, swung for 3 and passed. He Pathed my enchantress, played KotR, and swung with a 4/5 goyf. T5 I played mask and swung for 9. He drew and conceded.
Second game he was able to consistantly answer my threats with Path, swords, and pridemage. I couldn't stick anything, and he raced me down with goyf.
Game three: T1 Utopia Sprawl into T2 Ledgewalker + Spider Umbra. T2 he plays Pridemage and passes. T3 I answer his tapped-out pridemage with lignify, play wild growth and swing for 2. He KotR and passes. T4 I draw Mask, cast it, swing for 10. He plays a fetch, cracks it for a plains, Swings for 4 with KOTR and casts aven mindcensor. I draw a land, swing with ledgewalker, and he blocks with Mindcensor. he draws, thinks for second, and concedes.
Vs. Delver.
I have no idea what he was doing. He would play delver/goyf, and then just durdle around until he died. Maybe he never drew counters? I dont know. It was wierd.
Vs. Elves.
THis wasn't elfball or elf-combo or whatever, just straight tribal elves. Game 1 went really quick, since he had no way to interact with my dudes or spells. game 2 he played 3(!) Thorn of amethyst, but I was still able to stick some auras on a gatherer of graces and crash through his dudes.
Definately needs some improvement, but golly is it fun.

Adding white would be nice here, but I'm unsure as to whether you can afford the splash.

Well - only 1green needed for EVERY spell apart from Verduran.....white should be easy to include, considering you're already running Utopia Growth, fixing mana shouldn't be too hard. White for Kor Spiritdancer would be nice. Land like Serra's Sanctum ? Winds of Rath ? Retether , Three Dreams are options, but they are pretty slow for a format like Legacy - I'd be looking more to things like Hyena Umbra or Battle Mastery together with more "hexproof"creatures. Troll Ascetic maybe?

I guess it depends on what it involves. I'm never going to queue up with this mess, so I'll probably try to find a way to run it dual-less. It definately needs something from another color, though, and white seems logical.
Would love to hear some suggestions.

I don't know what you would take out, but I could see either Keen Sense and/or Mark of Sakiko making an impact in this deck. Play land, enchant creature, swing and receive more mana, play another enchantment--with the Mark of Sakiko, I would think you could hit critical mass fairly quickly with the low mana costs you're using.
Also, as a side board addition, you might try finding Wheel of Sun and Moon . While it doesn't buff some of your creatures, there's nothing like screwing over Reanimator, Dredge, and Tarmagoyf. It leans more on the expensive side, but the number of decks this card can hurt for two mana is quite significant.
One last thing: Abundant Growth from Avacyn Restored might be better than Wild Growth and Utopia Sprawl due to card draw. I don't know for certain, but in a late game it might save you. Try to find some, they shouldn't be expensive.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions!
I dig mark of sakiko, and could see it getting out of hand pretty easily. I may need to incorporate some more draw power to abuse it, but with an enchantress out it could be fun.
Abundant growth has definately crossed my mind, since both wild growth and utopia sprawl are pretty bad topdecks. at least this one replaces itself.
Thanks!

The problem with Abundant Growth is that it doesn't ramp like the wild growth or utopia sprawl do. It's purely a mana fixer. Also, I'm playing this deck right now and was having issues coming up with a sideboard but honestly it looks like we came up with the same one. I love this deck, it makes me giggle like a little school girl sometimes when people with $1000 dollar decks get raped by it.

The deck is just silly, but it does make me smile when I destroy people with a massive badger.
