Delver is a weird deck to be so good in standard.  With the sole exception of Ponder, everything that really makes Delver decks good is in Innistrad block, but Delver decks see very little play there.  The whole archetype is made viable by the existence of one incredibly broken interaction between two 1-mana commons.  And not just viable, but completely dominant.

It'll be interesting to see if there's a way to make this work post-rotation with any available library manipulation in Ravnica, or if Delver really is the one-trick pony it seems to be.

Lack of instant speed, cheap bounce is also a problem.  As is lack of good, cheap, efficient counters .

Both of them could pay the "iron price" for the opponent's permanents, stealing wins as they stole permanents with Zealous Conscripts.

Wait, is that a Song of Ice and Fire reference? I like this article just for that.

Vapor Snag is not so much better than Silent Departure that it explains the difference in success between block and standard.  Block is inherently lower-powered, and in any case this particular block format has relatively little reason to need its bounce to be instant.  By the same token, Dissipate being worse than Mana Leak isn't a huge deal, because block decks play their backbreakers on 4 mana, compared to Standard's 3.

Ponder, on the other hand, is utility that is completely unavailable in block.  It's the only really major difference between the standard and block versions of this archetype.  Any other differences are just the inherent differences that lack of access to a core set and multiple blocks will do to any and every deck in the format.
