So, I picked the Card of the Day theme for this week to be "Board Games", based on 'Scrabble'ing Claws, 'Game of Life'//Death, and Rune'boggle'... but how does the Skeleton Ship and Archwing Dragon fit into that?
It's really not even about giving niche cards to black.
It should be about giving black cards to Niche.

Resize the Card of the Day image to 200x285. Without the border, it's streching to fit the dimensions it would have if the borders were intact, which is making it all blurry and stuff.

I'm thinking Skeleton Ship -> Battleship though it's a stretch.
Also, I don't know if Wizards got bought out by some Spanish company or something, but the dates on the Card of the Day list are in Spanish (www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.a...). Edit: Either fixed or it was a temporary glitch.

Alternatively, restore the border so the Planechase 2012 scans don't look so weird in gatherer and pop-ups.

Despite today's arcana, Malignus is hindered by protection - he's unable to block creatures with relevant protection. His damage is unhindered, but that's not much help when Progenitus is attacking you for lethal...

This week's wallpaper features Allen Williams's Illusory Angel, the promo plane from the Planechase (2012 Edition) set. Enjoy.
Quite an obvious job of copy and paste.
But I do hope to see Trail of the Mage-Rings as a wallpaper soon. That plane's art is awesome.

Krond the Dawn-Clad – Planechase (2012 Edition) mythic rare. Krond is the first multi-color Archon in Magic as well as the first Legendary Archon. All the rest are mono-white and boringly non-legendary.
Silent-Blade Oni – Planechase (2012 Edition) rare. This is the first "Demon Ninja" inMagic's history. Up to now the only types of Ninjas were Human and Rat. One day I hope to see a Goblin Ninja; right Squee?
This is the second day in a row that the editors have forgotten about Mistform Ultimus .

That is because they have established the metarule for talking about races and classes, that all references to such will include the phrase",...other than Changlings and Mistform Ultimus."
On another topic, so I guess it is official with this deck of the day. Sorin, Lord of Innistrad is not good enough to be played in the deck it was built to be played in.
