This seems to suggest to me that the returning mechanic in M13 will be Exalted.

Yeah, pretty safe to assume Exalted will be the returning mechanic in M13.

Bant says whaaaaaa?! This could get interesting if Exalted is indeed returning. Especially with Invisible Stalker  around for awhile yet.

We know it can't be from Planechase 2012 as the only new Common has already been previewed so we can deduce this is probably from M13 which would suggest that yeah, Exalted is the returning mechanic.
Which could be fun but yeah, could possibly make Invisible Stalker a problem card again. Depends what colours they put it in I suppose?

Unfortunately, Exalted like lots of creatures whereas the Loner cards like being, well... alone. They seem like they'd play nice but really don't.
As for Exalted, definitely the returning mechanic in M13. The Planechase decks are each centered around a keyword, and Exalted is not one of them. It would make no sense to waste a new card slot on something completely tangential to the themes. This has to be an M13 card.
Also, Exalted in black? I'm curious how this flavor works. Seems too communal to fit well in the color.

Yeah, loner and exalted synergize with one another, conceptually.
In actual gameplay, not so much. ):
