why do competitive tournament winning manaless dredge decks not run flame-kin zealot ?

They don't need to? Most dredge decks, manaless or mana dredge have disregarded FKZ anyway.

I don't believe that's true. In fact, a quick search shows that only 2 of the 7 or 8 Dredge decks (didn't look if they had lands or not) that have made Top 8 at StarCityGames tournaments in the past 2 months didn't include Flame-Kin Zealot. One of the two that didn't opted to use the true combo kill off Flayer of the Hatebound . The other used Sun Titan to get back LEDs for more dredges.
However, I think most decks are moving away from FKZ because you can get a more consistent kill with other finishers. I expect the Flayer combo to become the normal target for the deck.
