Switch to Forum Live View Cavern of Souls question for Commander

If I control Rooftop Storm in a game of Commander with Thraximundar as my Commander, and I want to cast him from the Command zone for the second time using Rooftop Storm to lower his cost to 0 plus the two Commander tax, and I tap Cavern of Souls for red to use as one of the two mana needed, can Thrax be countered?

As long as you named "Zombie" or "Assassin", he can't be countered.

I think that's implied, since he wouldn't be able to spend the mana at all otherwise.
