I was thinking about making a Dream Halls themed deck and I came across Celestial Dawn

If I used Celestial Dawn in combo with Dream Halls , would that allow me to cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn , since everything is now white?

thanks! :>

Yeah it works. It's not really much faster than mono ramps, and def less reliable.

Still, without accelaration, an turn 5 emrakul is nothing to sniff at.

Rules question? Have you read the Basic rulebook already? No? Why not take some time to do that?

Elvish Piper
Sneak attack but it's red.
Belbe's Portal costs 5 but it's easy to get double mana from a lot of colorless lands or other mana sources
Deathrender on a creature with a sacrifice ability
Summoner's Egg + artifact nuker (like nature's claim )

To get the mana there are double colorless lands, typical acceleration like BoP/llanowar elves, Elvish Spirit Guide , Simian Spirit Guide and hickory woodlot . There are also creatures you can sacrifice for more than you paid like tinder wall . Or if you don't mind black there's dark ritual .  There's also a similar red spell or two that makes .

I think if I wanted to get emrakul out asap I'd pile all 8 spirit guides, 4 tinder walls and similar acceleration in my deck.  I'd use the lands that make at least 2 colorless.  I'd pump out my cheat engine on turn 1 and get emerakul into play on turn 2.  Or better yet sneak attack him turn 1 for the win.  For more reliability I'd add 4 each of sylvan tutor and worldly tutor so if I don't get emrakul in my opening hand I can tutor him and then play him turn 2.  In that case you'd have to use forests instead of double colorless, but if you have enough sac for mana creatures you might still be ok.

The key to reliablity is multiple copies so you might have 12 cheat engines (3x4), 12 sources of emrakul (8 tutors + 4 emrakuls), and 16+ instant mana sources.  Obviously this deck would be a one trick pony with no room for anything else.  The other way to be reliable is to have a backup plan to use instead of emrakul: Put less of the cards mentioned in your deck, maybe not even all 3 types, and instead get other cards that also work well with the cheat engines, tutors and instant mana so instead of always cheating in emrakul you might slam down other big beasties instead.

How many planeswalkers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Spoiler: Show

Better question, what does Nicol Bolas want with the lightbulb?
