It's really not even about giving niche cards to black.

It should be about giving black cards to Niche.

I just want to see step to in the old mechanics especially the "not so good ones" cards that reference to color identity.

As for storyline I would like to see a exclusive walker club/hang out spot, like a walkers association where they talk about planar problems/request help for problems like as an example the eldrazi escaping.

Did I hear the forbidden S-word? If there is one thing I definitely don't want anywhere near my favorite setting, it's those darn slivers.

Aside from that, I hope it still has the feeling, so please don't experiment too much. The failing of the Guildpact doesn't necessarily mean, that the old guilds vanish or something. As I see it, there are two ways to go (preferably):
1. The Guilds are at war with each other (maybe not all of them). Not much change there.
2. There is a growing non-guild force. This would make for a nice mono-colored multi-colored clash theme, lik Guardian of the Guildpact / Enemy of the Guildpact . I thought the mono-multi-color card ratio was quite good in the original. If there is a mono-color aspect, rather do less mono-color guild cards.

Besides anything else, I expect to see way more hybrid cards than last time.

P.S.: A new Niv-Mizzet would be awesome.
P.P.S.: How is there going to be a Rakdos without... Rakdos?

Anyone who says that your milling 60 cards your not. Usually whentour able to mill the opponent he or she will have at least 51 cards. Opponent=60 cards - 7=53 and most mill cards are at least 2 mana. So again 60-7-2=51. Can be significant but still.

Refuge of the Nephilim
Land (R)
Refuge of the Nephilim enters the battlefield tapped.
As ~ enters the battlefield, name a color. You can't cast spells of that color.
: Add one mana of any color except the chosen color to your mana pool.

Compare with trilands , this adds one more color to the repertoir with the drawback of not being able to splash for other spells. The drawback would be relevant to a format with hybrid mana, which is why I think this would be balanced.
