Hi, I'm new to this forum but have been getting a lot of card signing requests lately so I thought I would start a thread and maybe streamline the whole process a little.

First off, a little introduction, if you haven't heard of my work, I am one of the newer artists on the game, I have around 20 cards to my name so far, and have done a few sets now, including the Commander set, the Zendikar block, and the Innistrad block as well. Here are some of my recent favorites from Dark Ascension & Avacyn Restored:

Signatures are totally free. Unless you count the inevitable carpal tunnel in my wrists, in that case the cost is quite heavy indeed. I do charge for sketches, even small quick ones. Simply put, I find myself unable to do a "2 minute doodle". It's a side effect of the kind of obsessive detail disorder required to play ball in the artistic field.

I do want to mention though, that like other artists these days I have started to turn down card alters while I'm at home, since they take a bite of time out of my work schedule that I can't really spare these days, but if you run into me at a convention, by all means

For signed cards, please mail a Self Addressed and Stamped Envelope to:

Jason Engle
8550 Touchton Road, #1123
Jacksonville, FL
32216

If you need it signed with a specific ink, please let me know. If you have a pen you can send with it, even better. You wouldn't believe how much ink I go through during convention season, and it's always nice to have a slight reprieve from buying new pens every week. Just be careful to package it in a bag, so it doesn't leak on the cards.

Please note that I will get them signed and returned as fast as possible, but this may take a little while. I give first priority to making new art, it's what keeps clothes on my back, and beer in my belly. I'll let you decide which of those is more important.

For a nearly complete list of my work on MTG, go here:gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Defaul...[engle]

Here is a link to my new store website, with my latest magic card prints available: www.shop.imaginedinterprises.com/Photogr...

And while I'm throwing down links, here is one to my full web portfolio, be sure to check out the news section for the latest work, updates, and sketches: www.jaestudio.com/

And finally, if you have any questions about my work or what it's like being whipped on a daily basis by art directors, feel free to ask. I can't guarantee that they will allow me to answer, but I will do my best to crawl out from under their iron clad boots long enough to share my tales of unrelenting horror.

Love the website! You have some awesome art Wreath of Geists is great, very resonant with the flavor of Innistrad for me.

Thanks! That was the first piece I did for Innistrad, so I really referenced the styleguide as much as possible. The character is a werewolf hunter with a gritty edge, which really summarizes the personality of Innistrad well I think.
Characters in fantasy allow for so much world detail to be brought out just through their design, especially in Magic card art, it was a definite highlight of my recent work.

I should also mention, jaenews.blogspot.com/2011/12/alternate-m... that this article on my blog shows the original sketches for Wreath of Giests (there were 3) as well as the sketches that went into Skirsdag Priest, and Avatar of Slaughter.

Yes! I will be attending Comic Con in San Diego again this year, this time sharing my space with an author friend of mine, Maxwell Alexander Drake, he writes the Genesis of Oblivion saga.
I will be at my usual location, booth number 4617, near the majority of fantasy artists at the show. So, when you start to see booths with pictures of barbarians and half naked booth babes in chainmail, you can't be far
