the defensive combo is neat, albeit rather brittle and needs some tutoring/library/draw the rest of the deck seem completely random and much of it is quite bad

Emancipation Angel  isn't a good choice for this deck because you don't have too much to bounce. Why not run 4 of Herald of War  and 4 Cathars' Crusade  then put a few more higher casting angels in? Banishing Stroke  is a poor addition to this deck because you'd have to leave it up to chance. Gather the Townsfolk  is a good staller. Have you considered adding red to take advantage of the red/white angels and the other humans?
