Interesting pair of cards and I like the art, but I can't help but think Garruk, master of big dumb monsters, has the advantage here.

That's quite the artwork. Also, notice the nice curve of Garruk's Companion -> Triumph of Ferocity.

According to the article, he loses the fight to Liliana, and decides to find another way to remove the curse.
