To be fair, they might not have had enough playables to side it out. I also think that Exorcism is quickly becoming a card that can very easily be main decked...

The problem with the Demon is that it really puts you into two colors (B/W).
I have to disagree with this. As just a 4/4 for 5 the Demon isn't bad, and you should only ever have to sacrifice one human with him to end the game. Maybe 2 if you've been behind and not able to attack yet. It only puts you into white if you're flipping him immediately, without considering whether it helps yet.
Anyway, in this pack I probably take the Skaab. I would rather have a creature that does things on his own (twice) than an enchantment that requires me to kill off my other stuff before getting anything from it. I recognize Feed the Pack is good, but I'm still not a fan.

There aren't that many humans in black (and I can only think of one you'd want to sacrifice for this effect), and the other color with a lot of humans (green) doesn't synergize too well with black in the format. Sure, the Demon doesn't automatically put you into white, but you really, really want to be in white when you have it.
