@ the top deck hate, why does the last card you play make you unskilled if it was not in your hand? If your deck helps you win it's a good thing. You built the deck and it rewarded your planning. Losing to bad cards doesn't mean magic is a bad game, but that there is room for every card to shine.
Disciple of the Vault wasn't a bad card, but losing games simply because people could rip this one card off the top of their deck was incredibly annoying. Also, if you WANT a card game where Luck is more of a factor than Skill in playing said game, go play War (the card game). That's not what I want in a Strategic Collectible Card Game, so when they add in more and more Mechanics that begin to push Luck more than Skill, I begin to get angry.
@hexproof haters, you can block..and actually play the game of magic. We still have black sun, DoJ, and some of the new card art looks like it could be board wipe too. We also have forced discard and counter magic.
A loooong time ago, there was thing called "Combo" that didn't rely on Creatures to win games. Maybe you've heard of it?
Again, if you WANT a card game where your opponent doesn't actually need to be there , go play Solitaire. I don't want Magic to be that game, so while I understand the need for Shroud (too much good removal can be a pain), Hexproof is, as Indigo said, just a version of Shroud that let's YOU play Magic with your cards, while ignoring your opponent entirely. At least Shroud locks both players out (Zur the Enchanter notwithstanding).

C'mon Lancer, you can't tell me you're not a fan of the ol' topdeck Bloodbraid into Blightning for the win. Such a skillful manuever. Your deck simply rewarded you for netdec.... I mean "building your own deck."

It makes no difference if i Top decked it or used think twice to get it. it's no more luck than getting a poor or good opening hand.
@hexproof, you can interact with it but can choose not to. A small dude with giant growth can beat it. If its a problem you will put something in your deck to deal with it. Creatures have always been able to win games and combos don't take all of a deck to pulloff so at least sideboard something.

because removal is totally not part of playing the game of magic, and there are tons of large playable flying creatures in the format.
1000th post November 26, 2010. Where Islands gets his decks: Spoiler:
Show
It was revealed to me in a dream. All the cards were in my dream except for three slots which I plugged in as Vault Skirge.
FULL DISCLOSURE: The dream was post AVR so there was a copy of Slayer's Stronghold. I decided to keep it pre AVR in my post here.
EDIT: I just remembered. The Skirges might have been 2x Whipflare and 1x something else, probably War and Peace.
EDIT2: Currently 4-0 in my first four games with this. My opponents have been very angry. I fought off a Wurmcoil from Grixis for six turns before I found my second Dispatch. Jeez, I can do a lot of damage.
EDIT3: Streak broken. Lost to an unexpected Overrun. Cracking a Shrine for 10 wasn't enough.
How Kedi tests his decks: Spoiler:

also, I've been playtesting this deck in my sleep today that kinda freaked me out

I'm still waiting for Wizards to print a reasonably-costed x/4 flyer that can trade with Delver. The best solution to bringing down the MC Hammer Angel is Image/Metamorph and counters.

Ah, the "you have to be playing tons of creatures to be playing magic" crowd surfaces. Woo. That 4/3 for 3 looks tasty enough. I mean, Steel Golem saw it's share of play. It's a pity that we're too busy with tits for a 4/3 to still be relevant, but... meh.
Luckily, we have stop-having-fun guys to remind us that having anything more than 60 cards in your deck is tantamount to being a rapist and anyone considering it should be strung up by their **** .

Is Miracle a trigger off the draw? I was digging the interaction with noxious revival and miscelaneous draws at eot and shinanigans like that for 5 damage all day. But since temporal mastery is sorcery, would you not be able to do it with that card? Or is it a trigger that you can do whatever with?

The trigger, like madness, removes all timing restrictions on the card that's played with the ability. As such, you can play temporal mastery during their turn.

Hexproof is stupid. Fact.
The Miracle stuff, after thinking about it some more, seems not as bad as I first though. But it's still pretty crappy, and I'm giving ABSOLOUTELY ZERO MERCY at the prereleases I go to. If that card makes contact with the rest of their hand for more than half a second, I'm not letting them cast it. The Time Walk seems like fun. But of course they are going to have to ban Brainstorm in Legacy now, which just works with Wizard's plan to remove anything other than creatures from magic.
3 mana 4/3 seems good, Restoration Angel is SICK, and I'm still waiting for a spell that will inspire me to enjoy Standard again.
