Bring back old nationals, this format only rewards those who can afford to travel or those who have huge fnm's. You could be the best magic player in the country and still not qualify due to not being able to fly to foreign gps or get to distant ptq's. I have never failed to qualify for te old national tournaments but its highly unlikely I will amass 200 points before Sunday, currently on 108 with 1 ptq to go to tomorrow. I play fnm every week but numbers are highly restricted due to space and never post records worse than x-1 but when you go x-0 and only get 9 or 12 points a tournament there is just not enough fnms to make up the numbers.

If you think it's impossible to get 200 points from FNM, try living in one of the countries that requires 300 points.  Basically you need to go to multiple PTQs or a GP.  (Failing that, try playing in sanctioned events two or three nights a week?)

Thanks to everyone who helped with the design of the plane of Golamo in the Great Designer Search 2!
