Baw. Baw. Baw. People complain about the dumbest stuff.
Anyway, as a big fan of Commander, I think the oversized cards are awesome. That's the main reason I'm going tomorrow, and I'm pretty excited about it. But whatever, you can't please everybody. And then there are some people you really can't please. Hah.

I still went to the rerelease even though I was aware that the result would be mediocre playing results for myself, and the Helvault would have: a d20, some tokens I don't want, and an oversized card for someone that collects such things (I use normal cards when I game). I still had fun playing with strangers and enjoying the feeling of an event though, and though I didn't do well and didn't get anything I really looked forward to getting (no mythics, and only one rare in which I was interested), I left feeling like it was a successful thing.
I met people at their first prerelease, and players that were new to the game altogether. It was good for gaming as a whole, and I had fun playing and doing something different for a change. Sure, the actual Helvault prizes weren't super-awesome, but I didn't go expecting a copy of the mythics of the expansion, I went expecting to game and have fun. The free stuff was just an extra perk. I did so, and now me and my grey d20 and Sigarda over-sized card will move on. I gave my tokens to someone that couldn't come up with coins during a game, and they were happy, which made me happy. I encourage gaming and having fun while doing it, moreso than I encourage complaining because the world isn't handed to me on a platter when I want it.
Be happy to game and enjoy it. If you can't be happy playing Magic, don't play and chill out doing what you like to do.

Some Helvaults had 54 copies of foil promos ranging from Judge Balance, Judge Demonic Tutor, Judge Decree of Justice, Exalted Angel and Wrath of God.
In these Helvaults, the oversized cards and the tokens were foil.
So...yeah.

After New phyrexia's m&m's and  , i was expecting more M&m's and so i didn't go. Now, i'm kind of sad. I would have loved oversized versions of all the angels i preordered foils of specifically for EDH.

I heard about that. That is completely lame as far as I'm concerned. It's bad enough that the well-hyped Helvault event turned out to just be a collection of non-playable items, but worse that some Helvaults actually had amazing promos in them. I can't believe that the Helvaults couldn't have been equally distributed with promos. Wizards has the power to print whatever cards they want, this wouldn't have been a big effort for them.
