I like both UB builds and UR builds. The main issue for me is how to get the flayer of the hatebound in and unfortunately the mana requirements of the UB build make playing UBr a bit of a risk. The straight UB arguably doesn't even need the flayer as it is quite capable of winning via grind or it's own bombs. Whilst the UR build gets to make use of a bunch of undying creatures and the extremely strong flayer, it has to use a bit more filler to get there compared to the UB build. Mirror-Mad Phantasm and/or Lantern Spirit plus Flayer is pretty funny though. My first thought was, "is there any fixing" just to splash for more removal in whatever color that had more. However I ended up going black red. This Deck was built in 0:07:21Total Deck Size: 4017 Lands --------------- 7 Mountain 10 Swamp 13 Creatures --------------- 2 Abattoir Ghoul 1 Flayer of the Hatebound 1 Forge Devil 1 Gravecrawler 1 Hanweir Watchkeep 2 Highborn Ghoul 1 Markov Warlord 1 Mondronen Shaman 1 Skirsdag Flayer 1 Vampire Interloper 1 Vengeful Vampire 10 Other Spells --------------- 1 Blazing Torch 1 Blood Feud 1 Butcher's Cleaver 1 Corpse Lunge 2 Dead Weight 1 Faithless Looting 1 Harrowing Journey 2 Warden of the Wall

18 Lands ------------- 7 Forest 2 Mountain 8 Swamp 1 Haunted Fengraf
13 Creatures ------------------ 2 Abattoir Ghoul 1 Briarpack Alpha 1 Flayer of Hatebound 1 Gravecrawler 2 Highborn Ghoul 1 Mayor of Avabruck 1 Mondronen Shaman 1 Orchard Spirit 1 Villagers of Estwald 1 Wolfbitten Captive 1 Woodland Sleuth
9 Other Spells -------------------- 1 Blazing Torch 1 Caravan Vigil 1 Corpse Lunge 2 Dead Weight 1 Ghoulcaller's Chant 2 Hunger of the Wolfpack 1 Wild Hunger
First thing I noticed was that black and green had the deepest pools. Black had the most removal, so I felt I had to build with that. It didn't hurt that it also had Gravecrawler and a few zombie friends to compliment him. Green had bomb creatures in Wolfbitten Captive and Mayor of Avabruck, while red had a couple of their own in Flayer of Hatebound and Mondronen Shaman. After a little debate, I decided on all of them! It's a bit dangerous to play three colors with hardly any mana fixing available (only one with Caravan Vigil) but, luckily, just about every spell in this deck (all but the 2 Highborn Ghouls) only require a single mana of their respected color in their cumulative mana cost. I bumped up from 17 to 18 lands to include 2 mountains. Hopefully, I would be able to come across one of those mountains or the Caravan Vigil by turn 4/5 to cast the Shaman, Flayer, or the flashback cost of Wild Hunger. This deck is super aggressive, is loaded with removal/direct damage, a few pump spells, and plenty of recursion.
