Auto-card works if I swap to the Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter theme. I usually use the non-Neverwinter D&D theme. We had this same problem a few months back with the drop-down forum select not working.
And people wonder why I have such a low opinion of WotC's digital ventures. They either hire people who aren't up to it or contract people who aren't up to it. {/sigh}

Confirmed this is a problem with the old themes. Switching to a newer theme (Magic 2012, Wizards New Default, Neverwinter) will temporarily fix this for you until we can sort it out. Sorry!

Seems fixed now, at least for the D&D theme.

I have this same theme, but while the hover-card works, they are different sizes. Some are normal size, some are really small, and some are so small I wouldn't make it out to be a card without squinting.
Chrome, IE9, and IE10.

I use the Mirrodin theme because I've gotten used to it, and this is still an issue there, so whee, time for more CSS-diving. Looks like the culprits are line 34 of newforum.css (which IIRC is actually the old forum stylesheet) and something that shows up as cssloader.one but appears to come from images.community.wizards.com/resources/c.... newforum.css:34 : .mb_t_p_t_post_div img {position: static !important; max-width: 100% !important;}board.css : 701-704 : .mb_t_p_t_post_div img { position: static !important; max-width: 95% !important; }Removing the max-width properties makes at least some of these images the right size. I actually know basically nothing about how CSS works, but my guess is that the xx% settings are setting the maximum width to xx% of the containing block, which happens to be quite small for some images for whatever reason. Removing these lines has it automatically determine the appropriate size for the image, which looks much better. And seriously, come on, guys. If a random person with no actual web experience can find this in twenty minutes with only Chrome's dev tools, why is it that it's been two weeks since the problem was officially noticed and it still hasn't been fixed? I think we're all aware by now that testing of new features isn't exactly a high priority, so surely someone can plug in the 30-second putative fix and see what happens, right? [this also applies to the small-font-in-p-tag issue]

Wizards isn't the one who makes the fixes; last I heard, pretty much any and all modification of the forum system has to be done by OneSite, the company which WotC contracted the system out to.
...Which just moves the question onto different shoulders, I know, but at least they're more likely to be the right shoulders.
And so people say to me, "How do I know if a word is real?" You know, anyone who's read a children's book knows that love makes things real. If you love a word, use it! That makes it real. Being in the dictionary is an artificial distinction; it doesn't make the word any more real than any other word. If you love a word, it becomes real. --Erin McKean, Redefining the Dictionary
