Okay, so I have been wanting to create a Doran deck for Modern, and I have been struggling with trying to figure out a solid list that can handle the field and I think that this deck can handle a couple of the top decks, mainly Melira Pod, Jund and Loam Aggro. I think it will struggle with Affinity, Faeries and maybe even Urza Tron because it can't really handle Urza's monsters very well (though I think it has enough hand disruption that it can slow it down at least), and Affinity and Faeries are both fast and have creatures with more evasion capabilities. Any feedback would be awesome. Obliterator is a bit excessive. I'd run something like Quasali Pridemage. Atl east 2-3. It makes your goyfs bigger, kills affinity's biggest threats and stops pod from doing unfair stuff. Good agianst twin and pyromancer ascension, hive mind etc. Great creature :D. Would play 2 at least or 3 best.

Thanks for the suggestion. I completely forgot about Qasali, I had wanted to have him in the list. I cut a land, the Fauna Shaman  and Phyrexian Obliterator  .

-1 Fauna Shaman/-1 Phyrexian Obliterator/-1 Thoughtseize. 6 Maindeck hand disrupts are enough and a 3/3 split is better for your life total. I wouldn't cut a land in such a deck. I used to run back in extended 1 chrome mox because land mox dark confidant turn 1 was almost always autowin, but alas that isnn't possible anymore. Keep the mana base as it is. In sideboard you will need a way to deal with the monoblue faeries, affinity, jund and combo.
I'd suggest Surgical extractions and relic of progenitus vs combo(pod/living end/Tron)
Thrun vs Jund, Faeries, any control basically
Cloudthresher,Corrosive Gale or Arashi, the Sky Asunder vs faeries and UWR/UW any delver tempo or flying based deck (delvers cry like infants when they cannot counter channel :D).
Sudden death kills Splinter twin ON THE SPOT and their new tech - Vines of Vastwood to deal with combusts will not help vs sudden death. Affinity you can combat with the pridemages main with the help of something like creeping corrosion sideboard. I hope I helped you building the deck. And don't stay with 15 cards sideboard. I always am prepared with ~20 cards and decide on the exact 15 on the spot when i have a look around to see whos playing what.
